Eterij de Notaris

We are easygoing, having fun while working is important. Wednesday and Thursday the restaurant is closed. These days we can discover the Netherlands: visiting Amsterdam, one of the islands, sailing, and enjoy the beautiful places in our country! As a volonteer in our restaurant you will be a member of a team of young people all over the world; perfect to learn of other countrys and cultures

No stress, having a good time. Learn of other people, having good conversations and just having a special period and meet nice people! In our restaurant are a lot of tourists; English, German, French, Spanish, so you have contact with a lot of different cultures. In our restaurant we work with the maximum of 5 volonteers. There is a large bedroom for the boys and a much larger bedroom for the girls. Breakfast, lunch and diner is free and you may drink what ever you like. During work no alcohol, but when the work is finished it is nice to have a drink with each other, talking about the working day, sharing experiences and teach and learn from eachother. As owner of the restaurant, i like to show you the nice things of the netherlands. Wednesday and Thursday we are closed, so the perfect time to visit Amsterdam, Go to the Islands, see Giethoorn, take lessons in sailing and do all the things that make being in the Netherlands interesting! Believe me, you will have a good and interesting time in Eterij de Notaris in Heeg!!

I had an amazing time at Eterij de Notaris with Luuk. Heeg is a beautiful little town with plenty of nature to explore and enjoy. Public transport is easily accessible and Luuk has bikes to use for any adventures outside of Heeg. The job is similar to any other kitchen/serving job, and Luuk was happy to answer any questions I had and was always very helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better first volunteer experience, and definitely recommend it to anyone that is considering applying!

My experience with this host was disappointing the listing on Worldpackers does not fully reflect the stay most things agreed upon on the listing like breakfast lunch, bikes, surfing were not provided and the internet there is unusable. There are a lot of rules u have to follow. I did not feel welcomed probably had one conversation with him throughout a week he seems to not really care about the people there. The listing was misleading and should be changed and I would not recommend this host to any future travellers.

We, me and the other Worldpackers were happy you left: strange, no teamplayer, and very wearsd to leave at 06.00 am, without saying anything. So at the end, you are happy to leave and I am happy you left!
Everybody satisfied and I surely don’t recommend you to another host!

This was my first volunteering and it was perfect!
Luuk is very kind, friendly and funny person and he is a really good chef. It was really good to work with him.The city is pretty small but its beautiful and the locals are very friendly and you can go to other cities with bus or train, or with bike.
The job is very simple and fun I enjoyed every day.
I met with amazing people and I so much fun.
I may come back one day:))

I had a great experience volunteering at Luuk's restaurant.
The work is very relaxed, the customers are very kind (they all speak English). The place is quiet, with lots of beautiful scenery and a small cove next to the restaurant. There is also a supermarket and shops that can be useful. I learnt a lot about Dutch culture and got to know some very interesting places. Luuk cooks very well, so you won't have any problems with the food. I recommend volunteering.
