The Experience

We're an Italian family, living in a small stone house in Emilia Romagna region, a place surrounded by forests, mountains and rivers. It is a perfect spot for trekking, climbing, and skiing. We like cooking homemade fresh vegetable, prepare pizza, bread and cake (in our wood oven), also to pick some berries, flowers and mushrooms. We need help, depending on the season, with farming, permaculture gardening, bees and some building tasks.

I had a great experience staying with Alessio and Majbe. They were both incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout my stay. I learned so much not only about harvesting, but also about the plants and herbs growing around us and how to use them in cooking. One of the highlights was learning how to make pasta from scratch such a fun and rewarding experience! It was a truly enriching and peaceful time, and I'm grateful for everything they shared with me. Grazie!

This was such an incredible experience! Alessio and Maj-Britt were so kind and welcoming. I did a week of cooking classes and had the opportunity to make so much great, authentic Italian food. The hosts were so generous with their knowledge, time, and food. They truly made me feel at home. I also was able to learn about their farm and help harvest fruit. I had the best time and know everyone who does this will love it!!

I loved this experience so much!!! I could have stayed forever. right from being picked up, alessio and maj britt made such a welcoming environment. everything was enjoyable because it was FUN! amazing sense of humor, enjoyment for music, and overall beautiful energy. Lovely little farm and passion for herbs, which is one of my main interests. The hosts are very open minded, and it was special to enjoy time together and share ideas/stories.

I had an absolutely wonderful time with Alessio and Maj-Britt!!! I did 1 week of cooking classes and it surpassed my expectations in all regards. They are such wonderful teachers of both life and good food. We made incredible recipes everyday, and enjoyed the slow life & simple pleasures. We also learned the properties about the plants, herbs, and ingredients we were eating, as Alessio and Maj-Britt are very knowledgeable and passionate individuals. The surrounding land is beautiful and we got to explore & visit local events which was really fun. If you want call me by your name energy, COME.
