Staying at the guest house has been amazing!! The work is very easy once you get used to the way things are done. Charlotte is a great host and as long as you're doing what is asked of you, you will get along swimmingly. The area is absolutely lovely just make sure to explore around and see all the sights. Very good star gazing as well if you're lucky enough to get a clear sky.

My stay at the guest house was so special and wonderful. Charlotte really cares about her volunteers and looks after us well. We had home cooked meals every night and nice rooms to stay in. Work hours were respected, and there are a lot of details to the work but it's easy once you get the hang of it. Charlotte also took us on day trips around the Highlands, and taught us a lot about the history of Scotland. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to explore the Highlands and get back in touch with nature! I will always remember my experience there, and will miss you all!!

This was an amazing first Worldpackers experience! Charlotte is a great host who is very reasonable, fair, and generous. The food and accommodation was lovely, and she treated the volunteers whenever we'd go out for a day trip which was very kind. When she is showing you how to do something, she is very direct and assertive. This can seem intimidating, but don't take it personally! She is just trying to make it easier for everyone and be as effective as she can. Overall, I feel very lucky to have stayed at the guest house with Charlotte, and her cat and dog! I hope to keep in touch❤️

A great place to experience small village life in the Scottish highlands - make sure you get out and meet locals at the pubs and explore the surrounding area as much as possible! Charlotte took us on a wonderful day trip and we had an unforgettable experience at the guest house

Overall the trip was a great experience, I enjoyed learning about the history of Scotland and the Loch Ness area from Charlotte. The location is nice for connecting with locals and going for hikes. I really appreciated that Charlotte took the time from her schedule to take us to destinations or offered to drop us off at places. Although there are particular ways to complete chores and housekeeping once you learn them, it should go smoothly as you stay longer. I think the best thing is for both the worldpackers and the host to have patience as everyone adapts to the new work and environment.

Colby it was a pleasure having you and Rosa here and I felt you both fitted in well here. It can be a bit tense for volunteers just spending a month here taking about 2 weeks to relly get into the swing of things and then the last two weeks just fly in and I see the difference particularly in the winter when the volunteers tend to stay longer. When I have a group of volunteers who all seem to o.k. working on their own I tend to leave them to get on with it rather than be hovering around all the time and your right getting the balance right from the start is important.
I hope that the flat hunting is going well and wish you all the best in the new job and remember if you are coming back this way do let me know particularly with your mum (Don't forget May and the Chelsea flower show which I am sure your mother would love). Once again thanks for all your help and all the best in the future with you and Rosa and your continued travels. Keep in touch from time to time and let me know how you are getting on.

Thank you so much Charlotte for the stay! I won't forget the stories of this place and I feel like I was truly able to immerse myself in life in the highlands for a month! For future Worldpackers, it takes a little bit to get used to the work and standards, but once you do, you'll realize the work isn't very hard. And you will be rewarded with yummy food and a generous host! Charlotte would take us to tourist locations nearby on our days off when she could. She has many recommendations too if you're planning your own weekend trips. Overall, recommend!

I loved volunteering with Charlotte! It was a great first volunteering experience! The only thing I would change would be having set meal times. It was a little hard to make plans for the day without knowing what time you had to be back. Other than that I loved it. Charlotte is an amazing host. :)

Hi Isabella, I am so sorry I missed the review deadline - we forgot to alter your departure date and because of this I though I had plenty of time. So this is the best I can do I am afraid.
To all hosts out there I would have no hesitation in recommending Isabella for your project as she would be a good choice always willing to help and checking all tasks are completed. She is also an extremely tidy person and a good team player, sensible and gets on really well with team members.
I fully appreciated Isabella's help with the duties assigned to her and also with our pets.
Isabella I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels (you have some incredible visits ahead of you!) Once again many thanks for your help, take care and keep in touch.

I enjoyed the most unforgettable frozen pizza here, along with some tasty pie and soup. I especially loved how tidy and clean the bathroom was, I wish I could spend more time in there, but was advised only to shower once a day. Her house is beautifully detailed and organised. I felt so fortunate to have a reserved seat in the spacious dining room. On my days off, she loved taking me on adventures. I wish I can go shopping with her and help carry the bags, instead of waiting in the car.

I spent one month here and had a great time! Charlotte was beyond fair with the volunteer working hours (I stayed with her during the off season, so the workload was light). The accommodation was terrific, super comfortable and cozy regardless of whether you are sharing a room or not (depending on the number of volunteers). She prepared excellent meals, really delicious, and is great about taking volunteers on fun day trips to see the highlands! Beautiful nature and hikes in the area to explore during your free time or while walking Sophie. Much love to Charlotte, Sophie and Rags!
