The Experience

We're a guest house in Kinlochleven on the West Highland way and surrounded by mountains and lochs (lakes). Volunteering consists of waitressing, housekeeping, laundry, reception, and kitchen help 4-5 days a week, for 5 hours roughly. You'll have at least 2 full days off per week so we can enjoy the surroundings! Accommodation is in a shared apartment with myself, plus possibly another volunteer :)

Our timeat the guest house Cheonwas great! We had a lot of freetime to explore the region and the task were really easy. Would definetly recommend if you enjoy hiking and being in the nature!

Our stay in Kinlochleven was great. The work is super manageable and quick to pick up and Lewis is a great host who will make you feel at home. The apartment is really cosy and comfortable with good cooking facilities and a nice private room (with a great view)! There's heaps to explore in town and the surrounding hills, as well as fairly frequent and accessible buses to travel throughout the area, like to Glencoe and Fort William. I would recommend this experience to anyone

I had a fantastic experience with Lewis at the the guest house! The work was straightforward, schedule was clear, and I was trained well. I was given plenty of flexibility to explore the area and get some fantastic hiking in- Kinlochleven as well as the neighboring town Glencoe have some incredible trails. Lewis is a fantastic cook and made dinner for all the volunteers a couple of nights which was extremely kind. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I'd highly recommend.

Would recommend to any nature lovers! Kinlochleven is a beautiful little place surrounded by walks and hikes. Lewis always respects working hours, gives recommendations, and is a great host. There's loads to do in the area and a bus route that comes through multiple times a day.
