Russell was a sweet guy. It felt a bit of lacking communication at the beginning but it all worked out great. The volunteers and the students I met there are all very nice people whom I got close with very quickly. Since only simple food is provided there and working hours are mostly in the evening, people traveling under budget might find it difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle. But in the end it all can be solved with planning ahead.

I had a great time here! Russel is wonderful and really cares about us. I met such amazing people from all over the world I'll be friends with the rest of my life. It's a great place to go and relax in a more quiet area of Korea, and is in a good location if you want to travel around to different cities. The accommodation is a bit cramped, but other than that, I don't have any complaints.

Russell was a really great and kind host. He helped us a lot with getting everything for the accomodation and the work was very great. I would definitely recommend this job because you meet a lot of locals and you can make a lot of friends. It is also really nice to learn about the Korean culture!

Russell is a wonderful host, the work is very endearing and rewarding! The students are good people, I wish I could have helped more had I stayed longer. The accommodation is good, warm, the setting is near a little stream, I recommend going there for a walk. There is everything you need nearby (convenient stores, and a big mall 20 minutes walk down the river). If you stay there for a while and want to take a look around Daejeon, I recommend taking the bus, many visiting spots are at bus/subway-range. Again, if you need anything ask Russell and he will provide!

My time here at the Language Studio was amazing. I've done a few other Worldpackers trips but this one by far was the best. Russell is an amazing host, very attentive and makes you feel at home. Work at the studio is not difficult at all, you talk with locals that want to practice their English and it's a great way to learn about their culture and make friends as well. The rest of the volunteers were lovely as well. 100% recommend this experience. Thank you Russell :)

The time I spent at the Language Studio was engaging and culturally enriching. I made friends with the guests of the studio and learned about cultural differences and daily loves of Native Koreans. While, I lived with the other volunteers in an apartment about ten minutes from our work place. With this setup you get the real perspective of the Korean lifestyle in a peaceful city.

I can not express how much I truly enjoyed my time at the guest house. The host was absolutely amazing. Russell is very attentive, helpful, caring, and active. We were able to speak and engage with locals to help them practice their English while exchanging our cultures, opinions, and mindset. I was able to make friends not only with the locals but also with my roommates. I was also able to gain first-hand knowledge about South Korean culture and its history as well. It was such a wonderful experience, and I look forward to volunteering at the guest house again soon.

Russell is the best host of all time! He truly cares for every volunteer like a father and would do anything for us! He went out of his way to da favor for me, insisting that I don't rent a car because he had one. He also was constantly checking on our health and safety while volunteers were traveling out of the city or were feeling sick. He provided basic food and household supplies, and he would stock up whenever we needed it. He also constantly told us that if we needed anything at all to not hesitate to tell him. Work is a little tiring and in the evening (6-10), but it's not hard!

It was a great experience. I was more than welcomed from the first day till the last one. Russell was always there to help, provide for us everything needed and also very nice in helping us learning some Korean. I had a great time with the other volunteers too, while spending as much time possible together and sharing delicious food, taking pictures and going out for a walk, shopping or dancing in a club. It was all good and precious memories also together with our students at the Studio, where our work was pretty easy most of the time and made a lot of friends. I will sure visit again soon!!

Working at the guest house was extremely fun!!! I can recommend it to anyone who is somewhat good at conversing and a little patient with students who are less proficient the guest house. You will be able to meet a lot of locals from different backgrounds and learn a lot from them while they are able to practice English. Russell, our host, is very attentive and helps out with everything related to your stay in Korea! I also appreciate how he took his time to teach us Korean. To sum it up: You will have a wholesome experience the guest house if you choose this studio. =)
