This wasu first volunteering experience and I couldn't be happier. Russell is an amazing host, everything was clearly communicated and communication was strong through my whole experience. I really enjoyed the language studio as there is a broad spectrum of ages, reasons to study and I doing everyone to be engaging and really immersed in the experience. I would highly recommend this place for meeting people, locals and other travellers.

I had such a good time volunteering in Daejeon! You get to meet lots of locals, so it's a great opportunity to learn all about korean the coliving. I'd definitely do it again!

My experience in Daejeon was really good. The city itself is very chill and well connected so it's super easy to go and visit another city whilst using Daejeon as a base. The volunteers create the rota so you can request the days off that you want. Russell is really friendly and make sure you have everything for your stay. He provides food upon request so you can cook meals for yourself. The work itself is pretty easy but I would recommend it for more extroverted people as you do have to keep a conversation going with someone for 50 mins

We spent 2 weeks here and enjoyed it a lot. The volunteers make the schedule so you can decide what days you work, and it's in a great area to do day trips to other places. The work is fun and the students you talk to are very interested to hear about your lives. Just fyi - it is you leading the conversation for 50 mins. It is an informal chat so you don't get “trained” and aren't a “teacher”. So you need to be an extrovert that likes to listen and talk. But the chat is very enjoyable :) Daejeon has amazing hiking just 30 mins away, the best and cheapest thrift shops, amazing bakeries.

An amazing oportunity. The job was so easy going and I learned a lot about korean the coliving with the students. The food provided by Russell was good and it was so good to have a full equiped kitchen. The rest of the volunteers were amazing and I made really good the coliving here. I loved the experience and I fully recommend it:)

Volunteering was very good, you can learn much more from Korean the coliving, and improve my level of conservation in English. The lodging has what it takes to have a good time, with a good location with other volunteers. You need to be a social person to be able to talk about different topics with people from different ages and interests.

I have nothing bad to say about this experience. Russell took care of us every way possible. The accommodation had windows, a washing machine and a large fridge. We work 4 hours on weekdays and 3 on Saturday. Everyone's off on Sunday. We took turns having days off and we made the schedule ourselves so we can request certain days if needed.

I had a great experience at the studio! It is a very good way to meet local people, the coliving and visit Daejeon or other places together. The working times are perfect if you're someone who has energy in the evening and if you want to enjoy the day to go explore or work. We decide on our shifts together (the amount of work depends on the number of volunteers there that week). Lastly, Russell is the kindest and most understanding host I've ever had. He provides us with a lot of basic food ingredients, is always available for us and cares about our experience. So thank you for these 2 weeks!

I've volunteered at a few English studios, but this one has been my favorite so far. Russel is incredibly responsible and attentive—he's always there to help. The accommodation is very comfortable, and the food provided is amazing, with much more variety than I've experienced at other volunteer places. I'm really happy I had the chance to live in a city outside of Seoul. There's plenty to do in Daejeon as well. Yuseong is known for its hot springs, and I loved visiting the sauna! :) I would definitely recommend volunteering here—I would've stayed longer if I could! ❤️

This was my first experience as a volunteer and it has set a high standard for the future ones. The host (Russell) is very kind and helpful, checking often if I was feeling comfortable with the tasks and the accommodation. The apartment is in a great location with lot of restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. The job is easy to do and the students are nice and friendly, it's a great way to make new Korean friends and get to know the culture as the locals live it
