What a way to start volunteering through WorldPackers! Not only did I have a great experience but also I made good friends at Santiago Guesthouse. Mei, the manager, is such a sweet person and very friendly as well. All the staff were also easy going people, funny, and up to help others anytime. Working hours were less than I was expecting but I suppose it’s because it wasn’t high season. The job itself was pretty easy. There’s also free coffee, tea, sugar, rice and some other stuff necessary for cooking.
I’m looking forward to going back to Santiago guesthouse Naha again.

I think Okinawa it's one of the best places to visit! It may be for the beautiful places, (specially those amazing beaches), or the people, everybody is really nice and kind.
The work is really simple, cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms.
It was our fist experience traveling with the Worldpackers program, and we loved it! The people are amazing! We definitely recommend Santiago Guesthouse Naha for everyone who's planning for a place to feel relaxed and surrounded of heart warming people. Mei and the others made us feel at home, even far away from home :)
