Okinawa is amazing and even though Naha is not the most tropical place it has se things to do and the volunteering allows you to explore a lot because you just have to work a few hours. The hostel is nice but the workers and the volunteers make it better. They also offer us free rice, some condiments and coffee so that's a plus, and the vibe in Okinawa is so cool so everyone is up to do plans. Also you can enjoy with the guests and that makes it beautiful, I'll miss that place ✨

Great place to interact and exchange with other travelers. The team supports each other so the work is done fast. Also, it's location is well connected, with Naha bus station, and monorail nearby. I spent 2 months here and it was hard to say goodbye, time flew by quickly. Me encanto la experiencia y me llevo hermosos recuerdos de Okinawa!!

The hostel is a big hostel with roughly 60 beds and 4 floors. The volunteers make the beds and clean all the floors which, with 6 volunteers, takes about 2 hours. You start work from 11.00 until you're finished and have 2 days off per week. The facilities are good, with a big common room, but the kitchen is a bit small during dinner hours. It's a very social hostel, the volunteers during my stay were amazing <3 and guests regularly join the fun. Location is great too. Only downside: 20 people on one floor can mean noisy nights and neighbours can complain about talking too loudly. Thank you!

I absolutely loved my month in the hostel! The work is done quick and you have plenty of time to explore Okinawa or even go to the other islands on the days off. The hostel is super social and the guests and other volunteers/staff quickly become family. Definitely recommend this place!

I stayed one month as a volunteer in the hostel it's such a great experience ! Mei & other staff are very kind and friendly. Work is done in 2,5 hours or even less depend on how many bed we have to prepare, very easy ! So you have plenty time to visit around Naha, hanging out, visit others islands. I'm grateful for this experience , I've met amazing people there.

Mei, and the rest of the staff are lovely and super nice! Can only say good things about them!! 🙏 Was lucky to have meet so many lovely volunteers and friends in my time here, made the experience incredible. The job was has described, and most of the time we'd finish earlier and we could have the rest of the time to ourselves. Naha, to me feels like a big city, it has a lot of things to do but if you look for the typical island scenery you need to venture a bit out. Would reccomend the hostel and Naha, for me was a incredible experience that i'll never forget.

Mei along with the other staff members were lovely to work for! It honestly doesn't feel like work, everybody worked together as a team to help each other get the day's tasks completed and then before you know it it was finished with plenty of the day left for activities. If you're looking for a base to call home whilst exploring Okinawa, this is the perfect place for you! Thankyou for my stay, and love to all the fellow travellers I met there ❤️

Great place! I've met a lot of interesting people there (volunteers and guests, on my first night I was on a little party with an actor). Work was done in less than 2.5h. It depended on number of volunteers. The last 2 weeks was usually about 1.5h of work. Work starts at 11 AM. There's free rice :d Worth noticing: Naha was great for me as my main goal was to train karate - the location allows you to train in many dojos. But Naha doesn't look like tropical paradise, the most recomended okinawan attractions are on different islands (~400km from Naha). Also, transportation is not well developed.
