The experience

We are looking for a volunteer receptionist for Hostel Humanity in Puerto Morelos. Schedule: 3pm–9pm, 5 days/week. Spanish and English required, French highly appreciated. Tasks include welcoming guests with a smile, check-ins, handling payments, giving local tips, promoting activities, full availability, and clear feedback to the manager. Ideal position for motivated, responsible, communicative travelers who love hostel life !

🌍 Volunteer Receptionist Wanted – Hostel Humanity (Worldpackers)

We are looking for a motivated and friendly volunteer receptionist to join the Hostel Humanity team, a warm and human-centered hostel located in Puerto Morelos (Colonia side), Mexico.

⏰ Schedule

3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
5 days per week

🗣️ Languages required

Spanish and English required
French is a big plus

✨ Your missions

Welcome travelers with a smile and positive energy

Handle check-ins and be the hostel’s first warm point of contact

Share the best local tips (restaurants, transport, beaches, activities, hidden gems…) so guests can fully enjoy their stay

Be 100% available for guests during working hours

Be responsible for collecting reservation payments

Be a good communicator: report guests’ requests, ideas, and needs to the manager (especially regarding activities to organize)

Promote hostel activities during check-ins and answer questions
