Il Germoglio

It is a magnificent place, surrounded by nature, between woods and fields. It is a perfect place for trekking, climbing and skiing. We love to learn with different cultures!

The project was created by me and my brother, 37 and 33 years old. The management is familiar, this is a place of passage for many people, friends, volunteers who come from all over the world. We are open-minded, we like to create new relationships, learn about new cultures and knowledge. We love music, play and create new!

Special is the word I would use to describe this experience. Alessio and Maj-britt welcomed myself and another so warmly into their home, sharing wonderful knowledge of traditional Italian cooking and making the most of the land around them. The farm is beautiful, and grateful I am now able to take back not only recipes, but the spirit and love that goes into true Italian cooking. I left the 7 days feeling inspired with a nourished soul (and belly) !! This is the perfect place to relax, with lots of free time in the morning to read or explore the area too, coming back in the afternoon to cook

I had an amazing week at Il Germoglio! The hosts are lovely, super welcoming, and generous. Throughout the week we explored their property in the mountains, learned how to cook many classic Italian dishes, learned some history and culture behind their family recipes, and went for a few nice hikes. Their home is super cozy and welcoming, always lit with a warm fire, an abundance of delicious produce and local ingredients. I would definitely go back or even volunteer to help on the farm during the summer months!

I spent an amazing week learning to make incredible Italian dishes with Alessio and Mej-Britt! My week was very relaxing with amazing mountain views, wooded hikes, reading time with the beautiful cats, great conversations, and, of course, delicious food. They were incredibly welcoming and shared their passion for the farm, the properties and benefits of the products they harvest and make there, and their recipes and cooking techniques. Having now spent almost 3 weeks in Italy, I can say that the best dishes I have had were those we made at the farm! I wholeheartedly recommend staying here!

I had the most amazing experience taking the cooking classes! Everything the farm produces is incredible, and the recipes we learned were delicious. I felt so connected to nature throughout the process, and I learned so much while making the best memories. Alessio and Maj-britt are truly remarkable: insanely generous, genuine, and passionate about creating real connections. Whether you do the cooking classes or volunteer, you’ll never want to leave! From picking fresh ingredients to sharing meals, every moment felt special. I left feeling inspired, grateful, and already dreaming of coming back

I had a wonderful time. I took part in the one week cooking class and I feel honoured that I had the chance to learn a lot of traditional recipes and techniques.
A gained a lot of knowledge about fuelling food, medicinal herbs and the mentality of slow cooking. Every day we shared our meals and used our senses as we smelled and tasted the ingredients and listened to some vinyl records during cooking.
For me it was also a place to calm down, reconnect with nature and an opportunity to rest and breathe.
Thank you Majbritt and Allessio for sharing your knowledge and way of living with me!
