Il Germoglio

It is a magnificent place, surrounded by nature, between woods and fields.It is a perfect place for trekking, climbing and skiing. We love to learn with different cultures!

The project was created by me and my brother, 37 and 33 years old. The management is familiar, this is a place of passage for many people, friends, volunteers who come from all over the world. We are open-minded, we like to create new relationships, learn about new cultures and knowledge. We love music, play and create new!

I couldn’t have wished for a better introduction to Italy. Allesio and his partner Meybritt are incredibly warm and welcoming people who have created a special place to come to. They have knowledge about the plants/ herbs that grow around them, cultivated and wild ones. The cooking lessons starts everyday around 16.30 o’clock, they not only learned me how to make ‘slow food ‘ opposed to ‘fast food’, but also showed me a slowed down way of living, opposed to the modern fast paste life. I came back with a new way of looking at living life and a lot of new cooking skills!

Il Germoglio is truly a gem. Alessio was so open and kind and created an amazing community amongst other volunteers - such a great host. I learned so much about the history of the land and geography, Italian language, food, and culture, and organic farming. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I’m so lucky that it was on this farm. Alessio and Majbritt, you’re the best! Ole!!!

Nos gustó mucho la experiencia. En especial aprender de la pasta “all’uovo”, totalmente la recomendaría vivir esta experiencia por lo menos una vez en la vida. Los anfitriones se esfuerzan en lo que hacen, muy inteligentes, y MayBritt es muy amable y de buen corazón. Solo tomaría en cuenta, para los que viajan desde Milano, verificar el horario del bus 44, y hacer buenos cálculos, porque nos hubiera gustado pasar más tiempo, pero nos tomó más o menos un día en llegar por los cambios inesperados en los horarios por vacaciones de verano de buses y trenes.

I had a great experience staying with Alessio and Majbe. They were both incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating throughout my stay. I learned so much not only about harvesting, but also about the plants and herbs growing around us and how to use them in cooking. One of the highlights was learning how to make pasta from scratch such a fun and rewarding experience! It was a truly enriching and peaceful time, and I'm grateful for everything they shared with me. Grazie!

This was such an incredible experience! Alessio and Maj-Britt were so kind and welcoming. I did a week of cooking classes and had the opportunity to make so much great, authentic Italian food. The hosts were so generous with their knowledge, time, and food. They truly made me feel at home. I also was able to learn about their farm and help harvest fruit. I had the best time and know everyone who does this will love it!!
