Das Erlebnis

We're a large hostel in Shkoder center - the capital of northern Albania!
Join our international team. Currently, we have owners who are native to Shkoder and volunteers from around the world. We'd love to have you help in cooking guests breakfast, making beds, reception and event planning (trivia nights, bike tours, etc). If you enjoy interacting face-to-face with travelers & feel energized being around people, this position is for you.

32 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche

Reinigung: Hilfe bei der Reinigung von Küche, Schlafzimmern, Badezimmern und Gemeinschaftsbereichen.

Hauswirtschaft: Hilfe beim Wechseln der Bettwäsche und allgemeiner Hauswirtschaft.

Küchenhilfe: Hilfe bei der Zubereitung, Fertigstellung und dem Servieren von Mahlzeiten.

Kochen: Wähle das Menü, suche Zutaten aus und koche köstliche Gerichte.

1 freier Tag pro Woche

Team dorm: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Personen teilst.

Anforderungen

Mittelstufe Englisch

Zwischen 20 und 35 Jahre alt

Empfängt nur Einzelreisende (akzeptiert keine Paare oder Partner)

Programmdetails

Volunteer tasks :
1. Cleaning and Housekeeping
Making beds and cleaning rooms
Washing and folding laundry
Maintaining common areas (kitchen, lounge, bathrooms)
2. Social Events and Activities
Organizing events like family dinners, or game evenings
Leading walking/biking tours or group activities
Encouraging guest engagement
3. Kitchen Assistance
Preparing or serving breakfast
Cleaning dishes and maintaining the kitchen
Stocking supplies

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Morning Shift 6 AM - 12 PM
● Check downstairs area is tidy and put all dishes away.
● Check each bathroom has toilet paper and tidy and clean periodically if necessary (only 2 rolls per toilet).
● Check which beds need to be made.
● Strip every bed and place sheets in wash.
● Remake each bed.
Afternoon Shift 12 PM - 6 PM
● This is primarily a reception shift.
● Please check the bathrooms for toilet paper.
● Please check the kitchen is clean, dishes put away.
● Keep an eye on washing, drying, folding.
● Reception duties, including answering questions, checking in guests, renting bikes, towels.
Evening Shift 5 PM - 11 PM
● Mostly a reception shift.
● Check bathrooms for toilet paper and cleanliness.
● Once everyone has finished cooking dinner, ensure plates are cleaned, dried, and put away; wipe down counters.

Regeln

House Rules:
● Please be mindful of noise after 11 PM.
● Even when you are not on shift, you represent the hostel. You are part of what makes this hostel have such a fun vibe!
● If you need to swap your shifts, please let us know we are all willing to help each other.
● Please do not sleep in beds with guests.
● If you need to pop out, please ensure someone is there to cover.
