I Had the best experience at the shelter Army Foundation :) Honestly I needed some time to get used to it because at the time I was there there was Not a lot of supervising/explaining so it was all volunteer to volunteer which felt a little odd in the beginning, but after being there for a while I fell in love with the place. So I would recommend to stay the longest time you can The dogs also are the best, I fell in love with all of them and Miss them everyday since Ive left the foundation :) The Beach is also Just 10 min away, we went there a lot

The highlight of my time at the shelter Army was being around all the lovely dogs. I miss them all! The Foundation does meaningful work and processes are well established. Sadly, I chose to leave early due to 2 incidents- a 3-4 foot snake was found at the volunteer house and a dog in the area chased and bit me. Carl was understanding but sadly, I was too anxious to continue my stay. For future volunteers: there is no hot water in the bathroom. The listing says 20 hrs work/week but it's more like 25-28 hrs. The work is 80% cleaning and I didn't get to do any the shelter or vet related work.

Volunteering at this foundation is indeed very important and necessary for the community. When you are there, you can see how it positively impacts the lives of these small animals that unfortunately would not have this level of medical assistance and care elsewhere. The accommodation is very comfortable, there is lunch on working days, air conditioning in the rooms and communication is direct and flexible.

It was my first experience with volunteering, and I couldn't have chosen better. Carl's introduction was very professional, and the communication with him was perfect. The work isn't difficult, and there's plenty of time to rest. The accommodation is nice and comfortable, and you have everything you need. What I mainly want to say is that I've never encountered so many kind and truly patient animals that are grateful for your care and treatment 🥹 The only bad thing about this experience is that you'll fall in love with all the animals, and leaving them is harder then a breakup 😅 Thank you ❤️

The three weeks I spent at the shelter Army Foundation were amazing. You get to know some people from all around the world and still have a bit of time to explore the area around Pattaya. But most importantly, you feel like you have the opportunity of learning some new skills like caring for the dogs and cats, where it's mostly the volunteers who has to clean the wounds, give medication,etc.. Also, you have the possibility to watch some surgeries, which is very impressive. As a volunteer, you feel like you have a true responsibility for the animals and can make a difference to their wellbeing.

First of all, i fully recommend this volunteering place!! What an amazing experience i got to have at the shelter Army foundation. Got to meet the most amazing travelers which i shared my love for animals with. Learned so much about dogs (and cats), had a lot of fun cleaning (yes really) and was helped by Tam and Joy and an amazing doctor who made the experience even better. Also a big thanks to Carl who organizes everything and is always there when you need him. Also lots of free time between your shifts :) Sad to leave everyone… You'll be wanting to come back ;)

This project has a piece of my heart. I met the most amazing people and fell in love with the dogs. They do truly amazing and inspiring work. My plan was originally to stay for two weeks and go back home to study, but this project made me feel so happy and inspired that I stayed for 3 more days ( longer was sadly not possible, but otherwise I would've stayed for at least a month) and started travelling. I recommend it 100%, you really make a difference and meet the most amazing people. I will be back!!

My experience in the shelter army hospital was amazing, I meet amazing people there, the experience with animals is amazing because I learned how to care of dogs, you really can have big participation in the life for dogs, you can see the surgery, go on an expedition to save dogs, everything is complete. The house where we stay is full of equipment, you can also take care of dogs there because you live with dogs. Bravo to the doctor and his close team who work 7 days a week to help animals, it's a real passion and it shows.

I stayed at the shelter Army for 2 weeks and wish I could have extended much longer. The foundation does amazing work for it's local dogs and cats, even when less fortunate owners are unable to afford treatment. Carl was very good at coordinating everything and all tasks were exactly as described. The shared houses are very sociable and we met some great people. The doc is a very kind and intelligent man and I definitely think showing an interest in surgeries and asking questions goes a long way. The turnover of dogs is quite high, so don't get too attached!
