This was my very first worldpackers experience and it truly couldn't have been any better! I was there for 6 weeks. Carl is a very lovely host, you can talk to him about anything and he is always just a phone call away to help you with anything! The house was really nice and clean and i didn't miss anything. The dogs are all amazing and so thankful for everything you do for them. I met amazing people there and made friends for a lifetime. It can be a lot of poo at work sometimes, but it is totally worth the effort!

My experience at the shelter Army went above and beyond my expectations. I had such an amazing time at the hospital with the animals, doctors, and other volunteers. I originally planned on being here 4 weeks but I ended up staying longer because I enjoyed it so much. Carl was super amazing to work with, and so helpful with anything we needed. You can tell that Carl, the doctors, and other workers truly care about the work they are doing. They have made, and will continue to make such a positive impact on these animals' lives. I would highly recommend this volunteer position to anyone considering!

I really enjoyed my time there. The team is really kind, the houses and living area with the other travllers is really enjoyable as well. Loved to beings with all these cute dogs, if you love dogs you wil be happy here. The job is fine, we have a lot of free time but the work is essentially to clean which is necessary and important but can be a bit repetitive after a moment. Sometimes you can see surgery, be here, ask questions, which is really cool. So yeah if you love dogs (and you are ok to clean the poop 😝) and you want social interactions you might have a really good experience here ! 😋

My time at the shelter Army was a great learning experience and super fun! The hours were very good (good work/rest balance), the people there were all friendly, and of course, the doggies and cats I will really miss :( I'd definitely recommend the shelter army to anyone who wants to be a part of something that really makes a difference and positive impact! - as well as anyone who loves dogs!!

Volunteering at the shelter Army was an absolutely incredible experience! The team does an amazing job rescuing and caring for dogs every single day. As a volunteer, you can take part in rescues, assist the surgeries, and help provide the animals with love, care, and companionship. Every moment you spend there truly makes a difference in their lives. The entire team is so welcoming and makes you feel like part of the shelter Army family from day one. Do not hesitate to join the team!

I had an incredible time at the shelter Army! Everyone who regularly works and volunteers here is so kind and welcoming. The work this foundation does is extraordinary and spending any amount of time here will show you the very obvious impact they have on the lives of street dogs in Thailand. I love that as a volunteer you are encouraged to take initiative in improving the daily life of the animals and finding ways to make the whole foundation function more efficiently and reach a wider community. I highly recommend for anyone who loves working with animals :) I can't wait to come back!

My experience at the shelter Army has been nothing short of amazing. Being able to give and receive so much love, and knowing that I contributed something positive to the lives of these animals, has truly touched my heart. I would have loved to stay longer, but life has other plans for me right now. Still, I leave with the certainty that every volunteer who comes here will share the same passion and dedication to caring for these beautiful souls. The team is inspiring, the mission is powerful, and the animals will forever hold a special place in my heart. A place to grow, connect, and love.❤️

The work can be hard and smelly! But the dogs are incredible and so sweet. You get to spend your days, playing and cuddling the dogs as well as exploring the local area. The host gives you a long list of local activities upon arrival, you have plenty of privacy and the housing arrangement makes it very easy to socialise and make new friends but also to have you-time if you choose.

My experience was wonderful! The working hours were respected, and lunch was provided every day I worked. Tasks were shared fairly among volunteers, and I had one day off after every two days of work. During my stay, most of the other volunteers were female, which made me feel very comfortable as a solo female traveler. I also felt very well taken care of by the host. Carl was always helpful and caring, specially when I got sick. The dogs at the foundation were absolutely precious. The workload varies but is fair. The only downside was the city, as it is small and there's not much to do.

Volunteering at the shelter army is my first worldpacker experience and it has set the bar really high. Everyone there, the staff and the volunteers, is super friendly and it's hard to not immediately fall in love with each and every dog. I got super emotional leaving my fur babies and travel buddies behind.
