My experience at the shelter Army has been nothing short of amazing. Being able to give and receive so much love, and knowing that I contributed something positive to the lives of these animals, has truly touched my heart. I would have loved to stay longer, but life has other plans for me right now. Still, I leave with the certainty that every volunteer who comes here will share the same passion and dedication to caring for these beautiful souls. The team is inspiring, the mission is powerful, and the animals will forever hold a special place in my heart. A place to grow, connect, and love.❤️

The work can be hard and smelly! But the dogs are incredible and so sweet. You get to spend your days, playing and cuddling the dogs as well as exploring the local area. The host gives you a long list of local activities upon arrival, you have plenty of privacy and the housing arrangement makes it very easy to socialise and make new friends but also to have you-time if you choose.

My experience was wonderful! The working hours were respected, and lunch was provided every day I worked. Tasks were shared fairly among volunteers, and I had one day off after every two days of work. During my stay, most of the other volunteers were female, which made me feel very comfortable as a solo female traveler. I also felt very well taken care of by the host. Carl was always helpful and caring, specially when I got sick. The dogs at the foundation were absolutely precious. The workload varies but is fair. The only downside was the city, as it is small and there's not much to do.

Volunteering at the shelter army is my first worldpacker experience and it has set the bar really high. Everyone there, the staff and the volunteers, is super friendly and it's hard to not immediately fall in love with each and every dog. I got super emotional leaving my fur babies and travel buddies behind.

As my first work exchange experience, the bar has been set pretty high! your experience will 100% depend on your willingness to a few hours of hard work, and your mindset. the shelter army provide amazing facilities, it truly felt like my home for the duration of my stay - as always it is what YOU make it. you will fall in love with the animals you work with everyday, especially the house dogs and disabled friends at the clinic! overall such an amazing experience, especially for a first timer like myself 🫶

I volunteered here for three weeks and had a wonderful experience. The team is kind, helpful, and truly dedicated to rescuing injured and sick street dogs. The dogs are incredibly sweet and friendly. The veterinary hospital is well-organized, and I learned a lot. You also have enough free time to explore the area and meet great people to spend time with. If you ever need help or face a problem, they solve it right away. I'm really grateful for the opportunity and highly recommend this place!

Spending time volunteering at the dog the shelter center in Thailand was one of the most rewarding and heartwarming experiences of my life. Working with the rescued dogs was both meaningful and eye-opening. Each the shelter had its own story, and being part of their journey toward recovery and trust was incredibly special. Whether it was feeding, walking, cleaning, or simply giving them love and attention, every task felt like it mattered.

This experience was amazing!! The host, carl, is so sweet and kind and is always there if you need help with anything at all! What they do at this foundation is so inspiring and they have saved soo many animals lives in Thailand, it was a pleasure to be apart of it. I wish I extended my stay longer and I already miss the dogs sooo much!! If you are an the shelter lover this is the perfect place to volunteer!! Great accommodation, great food, great location and you are making such a difference in these animals lives!! I couldn't recommend this experience enough!! I hope to be back soon!!

My experience at the shelter Army was wonderful. The work was manageable and I got to meet many other international volunteers! I am grateful for the rare opportunity to observe several surgeries during my time there, and I absolutely adore the residents. We had a good amount of time to explore the area during our breaks and days off. Overall, it was a very eye-opening experience for me and I would recommend it to anyone who loves animals!
