If you're thinking about staying at the hostel, do it!! My time at the hostel was awesome, from the manager Alex to the roommates there during my time. So many adventures and good memories. The work is not hard or too much, it's very fair with on and off days. Comfy living space and close proximity to eat, drink, and swim.

My time at the hostel was amazing. The manager is a very helpful, considerate and communicative. You are in good hands!!! You don't see the owner often, but he also keeps in touch and can help if needed. The place itself is also very nice and at a great location. I met a lot of cool people and made some lifelong friendships as well, the vibe between volunteers and with guests is top notch. All in all I would recommend this experience to anybody and I hope I will visit the place in the future as well.

This experience in the hostel has definitely been a memorable one. I honestly think words can't describe how good of a time I've had here and everyone should experience it themselves. the hostel's staff makes sure you get a good Puerto Rican experience filled with adventure. I made amazing friends and connections that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you the hostel!!🫶🏻

This has been an incredible experience! On my first day I was welcomed with open arms and everyone was so kind. Alex and Charles are amazing hosts, that have managed to make the hostel feel very "homey", after a month this feels like being part of a family🫶🏻 The hostel is close to the beach and la placita (a place to hang out), so you have the best of both worlds. Amazing accommodations and location📍 The best decision I could have made was to volunteer at the hostel✨ The whole team is amazing, I made lifelong friendships for sure. I already miss my the hostel family🤍

My two short months at the hostel was not enough! I enjoyed every part of my experience. Especially the manager Ale and the owner Charles, they were very helpful and understanding when I needed a to changed my schedule around for me to explore the island and other activities. My favorite parts were the work hours and the location of the hostel along side the amazing people I met. Highly recommend for people in their twenty's and want to travel!

The hostel was a life changing opportunity I was able to experience, Charles is a great host and Ale is an amazing manager he knew a lot about Puerto Rico and always knew the good spots to go. The fellow team as well was awesome and got along very well. The property is very clean and relaxing at times but also very fun. Overall the hostel was amazing.

Through this exchange I have met so many amazing people and have had so much fun with the other staff and guests. The schedules are flexible and you only work 3 days a week which gives you plenty of time to explore the island. The owner Charles and the Manager Ale were both so kind and were always there to help. I would highly recommend doing a working exchange at this hostel.

My training was lacking. I had to figure things out as I went along. Alex was a great manager but he was clearly overworked. He did his best. Everything was OK until the owner showed up out of the blue. He was extremely toxic, controlling and verbally abusive. At one point going as far as to ask the manager if he was stupid. I have still yet to be reimbursed for arriving early, (per the owners request) canceling my other lodging accommodations. I also did side work for the owner that was supposed to be paid in cash. I never received that and I have yet to see my final paycheck either.

I had a great experience at the hostel, mainly because of the amazing team. The volunteers and staff created a welcoming, supportive environment, and I'm grateful for the lifelong friendships I made. However, the owner does not seem to value his staff, and I witnessed moments of little appreciation for the team. Communication and organization could be improved, and shifts can be more demanding than expected. Additionally, the final 'tips' given to volunteers appear to be conditional on leaving a review. With better management, this could be an even greater place to work.

Unfortunately, in your last week, you didn't start on time or complete tasks, leading to extra work for your coworkers. Their extra effort was recognized through redistributed tips.

The location of this hostel was great as it was in walking distance to La Placita, and was centrally located in Condado. The facilities themselves was nice and everything was maintained quite well!
