I really enjoyed my stay here and I met incredible people. The work is easy and only 2-3 hours. The village is really small but I liked it so much. When the work was done we could go around and visit whatever we wanted to. I'm gonna miss the group we did there and all the people I met :')

It was so good, I met great people there, and I like the village and the nature so much, I learn more English with the other volunteers and they will be always in my heart ❤️

In reply to the app and organisation could be better : We take in approximately 80 volunteers per year . I am a single parent running a hostel on my own . I am the manager , the HR, the maintenance person, reservations , accounts, operational coordinator etc etc. . I am doing my best overall the departments . I can’t offer a tailored volunteering program for each volunteer and why should I ? I’m not paid by Worldpackers . Some volunteers change the dates multiple times and don’t change it on the app, some don’t even turn up. There are so many variables so there is no seamless process. I can’t personally be there to greet every volunteer and most of the time the volunteers are happy to show the new volunteers around . It works better that way because they will be sharing the accommodation. You may not appreciate it but I really don’t think you have considered how much time is needed to correspond with 80 plus volunteers and also run a business.

My experience at the hostel was amazing! Niamh and the other volunteers were so lovely to be around, we had lots of fun and the work was easy but kept us busy! I would 100% recommend this opportunity if you are looking for a relaxed, fun, and comfortable position in a beautiful location. Will miss them so much, hope to come back one day again! ❤️

I stayed at the hostel for about 1 month and it was one of my best WP experiences. I felt at home, the tasks were housekeeping and cleaning, we were many volunteers and it went easy. The hours were respected. Niamh is a kind, funny, and lovely host! Westport is a small and cute city, full of nice shops, Pubs (3 min away from the hostel) and good Irish music! You can explore the surroundings doing day trips; walk in the Greenway trail, the Quay, and Westport House! Hiking Croagh Patrick Mountain was a magical experience! The volunteers were amazing! Thank you so much Niamh and all the team!!!

The hostel team is truly special and will always hold a place in my heart. All of the volunteers are amazing! The town is smaller than Galway or Dublin but it's really nice. The bus system is great to travel anywhere around Ireland :) Thank you to Niamh and the team for everything!

When I first arrived I was given very few information about the tasks from one of the volunteers, however, the work is easy, the schedule is respected, and it seemed there is some flexibility is you need an specific day off. Once a new set of volunteers arrived, things went very well, I was lucky to work with a great group of people! Thank you for the opportunity!!!

I stayed at the hostel for almost 1 month and had an excellent experience. I felt comfortable and happy in my room, the tasks were easy, and I worked fewer hours than I expected. Westport is small, but it's amazing, the people are very welcoming, the hostel has a great location and you'll have enough time to explore the surroundings, especially some good Irish music in the pubs (3 minutes walking from the hostel). I had Covid and needed to stay in bed for almost 1 week and Niamh was understandable. I just want to thank you for these weeks here. I recommend this place :)

I I spent three wonderful weeks at the hostel! Niamh is the best host ! She is a great listener, lovely and goes out of her way to make sure everything runs good ! The work is easy and we have lots of time to enjoy ourselves and meet people ! The city is beautiful, lively and very well served! This was my first time volunteering and certainly the best place to start! I already miss this place! Thank you for everything, and thank you to all the lovely people I've met!

My time was absolutely amazing. I traveled to Westport expecting nothing and I planed to be there just for a month but I was there for 2!! Is a real nice place to be. Niamh is a perfect host, funny, flexible and lovely. And the whole team working at the hostel are so kind and funny. The hostel is amazing and the tasks are easy. The city is pretty small and have a lot of tradicional Irish places. I definitely had an immersion of Irish culture. I loved the vibe, the people are friendly, there's a lot to explore… Perfect!!! I would love to have the opportunity to come back <3
