I absolutely loved my short stay in Kamakura! The work is super chill and leaves the day to explore the neighbourhood or go to Tokyo. The guesthouse is fun with the other volunteers and the food we get before and after work was delicious. I can highly recommend this experience!

I had a lot of fun in Kamakura! The receptionist shifts are night shifts, so we basically have the day to explore Kamakura and the surroundings. We get the month's planning at the beginning of the month, and the work is really easy. We sleep on-site and also have a volunteer house that could use a bit of furniture (but is practical enough). We get (amazing) dinner and breakfast on our work days and I loved hanging around Kamakura with the other volunteers. Thank you to every worker, Kuni and Ai, who made my stay really nice and full of lasting memories. Time, sadly, went fast!

This was my first volunteer experience in Japan and it was one of the best 2 months of my life. If you're wondering whether to apply here - do it now!! I met so many amazing people and we really did become one big family. The volunteer house helps with that as many people stay there (usually 11) and so activities are always being planned. The house is as you would expect a house to be if it was lived in by 11 people but this all depends on who you are with! Work shifts seem complicated at first but are so simple, food made by Kuni, Ai-san and other chefs is amazing too. Perfect experience

I had a great time working here. I would really recommend this experience. I was treated very well and the work is not complicated. There are many other volunteers so I met lots of new people. Kuni is flexible and responsive to the needs of the volunteers so I felt like a valued member of the team.

This was my first volunteering in Japan, and it really was more than I expected. People you work with are super helpful and respectful. Work was easy to get into. You will learn more languages while working in an international environment. You will also get a lot of new friends while sharing the house. :) I definitely want to come back! PS. Kamakura is a stunning place.

Kuni and Ai San are both really warm and caring people. The house is nice and met and made friends with really fun people there. The work is chill, mostly 3 days a week. Had some of the best meals prepared by Kuni and Ai San. Would 100% recommend. Also the sunset and sunrise in Kamakura is very beautiful.
