I had a great time in Kamakura! Everyone was very kind, and there is always a good amount of other volunteers to meet. Meals provided were also amazing. I will say the description for this experience is a little off, as there may be morning shift (which lines up with breakfast, so timing is not bad) that you may also have to work, depending on the hostel your shift is at. You also stay at a volunteer house, and only at the hostel on your shifts. Overall, I'd say that this was a great first Worldpackers experience and I would love to come back in the future!

The experience was unforgettable! Kuni and Ai-san were incredibly welcoming, the night shifts were straightforward, leaving me plenty of time during the day to explore the city. The volunteer house had a family atmosphere, and I loved sharing meals and experiences with other volunteers. Speaking of meals, the food provided by Kuni, Ai-san, was really good & delicious. Thank you to everyone at Junx & Kamakura for making this a memorable chapter of my journey. I'd recommend this opportunity to anyone looking for cultural immersion, and a chance to explore a beautiful part of Japan!

My experience with Kuni was okay. Contacting Kuni takes patience. He takes a while to answer. Which I can understand to a length. When it was my time to arrive, I was trying to contact him and I was almost impossible. Getting to the volunteer house was also a mess. The address he sends you, is hard to find. Also the volunteer house does not look as it is in the Pictures. It's kinda messy and not very clean. I felt very uncomfortable at the house.

I feel so lucky to have lived this experience and to be welcomed by Kuni kind smile! The share house is cozy, without WiFi, but it's 10min away by train from the hostels I worked at. The night shifts are very easy, after 11pm you can go to sleep and wake up the morning after to Wanderkitchen delicious breakfast. I am so glad I had the chance to meet many different beautiful people from all around the world and becoming a big family. Kuni and Ai-San provide you with the best meals before and after the shifts and Kuni also pay for the grocery. I hope to get the chance to come back!
