Volunteering in Kamakura was such a beautiful experience! We had the chance to work across four different hostels, and each one had its own charm. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming — I always felt supported and valued. The volunteers I met during my stay were special. We shared meals, laughs, and beautiful memories together. The tasks were fair, the work environment was respectful and I had plenty of time to explore the city and enjoy local life. Kamakura itself is a magical place, delicious food, and the kindest community. I felt truly at home. I can't wait to come back!

I love this place so much! Kuni and Ai-san are incredibly kind—they take care of you like you're their own child. This has been the best volunteering experience I've had so far! I really hope to go back again one day. I'm also so grateful to have met such an amazing group of volunteers. We stayed together and shared some of the best moments of my life.

It was such a nice experience to live in this big house with all of them amazing girls. The city is wonderful and the food from Kuni and his staff was amazing. Everyone was very kind and it's an easy job at the reception. And also you need to meet a lots of people. The only problems were that most of the time there was no wifi in the house and in some accommodation during the nightshift it was a little bit hard to sleep in. But all in all I really enjoyed it and I am really thankful for all of that. I can recommend to everyone.

I have had the best experience volunteering! The work was fair, the living arrangements were very nice and the food they cooked for us always delicious. But the most important part for me was the group that I've spent it with, I think I got very very lucky since it felt like one big happy family. Thank you Kuni for gifting me this amazing opportunity and to have such a wonderful first worldpacker experience!

What an awesome experience! Kuni and Ai-san are incredibly generous and work hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. Their food is absolutely amazing, and I looked forward to every meal. You will have plenty of free time to explore Kamakura and its surroundings between shifts or on your days off and I got super lucky with such an awesome group of fellow volunteers to enjoy this place with :) So grateful! Thank you Kuni!

I had a great time volunteering in Kamakura!! The work was very easy and mostly as described since there are 4 different hostels you can work at, so times may slightly vary. You stay in a house with most of the other volunteers which is great to hangout and plan stuff together! Delicious meals were provided before and after every shift and a fixed amount of money was given every 3 days to go grocery/ essential shopping for the house. There was a lot of time to explore the area and everything it had to offer. Thank you to Kuni and Ai-san for being great hosts! Don't miss out on this!!!

I had a wonderful volunteering experience at Kamakura, Japan. I worked as a receptionist and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere during the evenings. The host, Kuni, was incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming. He, along with the coworkers, made me feel right at home! They provided me with food and a comfortable place to live, which I truly appreciated. Kamakura itself is a beautiful and calming city with so much to explore—from historical temples to the beach. I'm very grateful for this opportunity and the people I met along the way. Looking forward to coming back!

This is an amazing experience. The work as a night receptionist is really cool and the day team is always ready to help in case of any problem. Even though some shifts can be a bit long, you dont have a lot to do and you usually get enough days off to rest and enjoy Kamakura. The house is lively and quite convenient (too bad certain volunteers are not very good at living in community but that's not the host fault) Kuni-san and Ai-san are absolutely adorable. Always helpful. Always nice. The free meals are always SO GOOD. I enjoyed myself so much that I decided to extand my stay <3
