This experience was great! We only had to work 2-3 days a week, the hostels are beautiful and comfy (you get assigned 2 out of the 4), the other volunteers are super fun with some of them staying long-term and always willing to help, the full-time stuff is also very kind and warm plus always open to answering questions even outside their work hours. The organisation of the money to spend on supermarket isn't great in my opinion but the food from the restaurant we get on our working days is AMAZING. Delicious, truly! Also kamakura is a beautiful destination and only 1-2 hours away from tokyo!!

I had an incredible time volunteering in Kamakura! Kuni, the host, is so kind and welcoming, and he makes amazing dinners and breakfasts on work days. The night shifts are easy and straightforward, leaving your days free to explore. Kamakura is beautiful, with great local spots and a relaxed vibe, and it's only about an hour by train to Tokyo, perfect for day trips. Highly recommend!

Volunteering in Kamakura was such a beautiful experience! We had the chance to work across four different hostels, and each one had its own charm. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming — I always felt supported and valued. The volunteers I met during my stay were special. We shared meals, laughs, and beautiful memories together. The tasks were fair, the work environment was respectful and I had plenty of time to explore the city and enjoy local life. Kamakura itself is a magical place, delicious food, and the kindest community. I felt truly at home. I can't wait to come back!

I love this place so much! Kuni and Ai-san are incredibly kind—they take care of you like you're their own child. This has been the best volunteering experience I've had so far! I really hope to go back again one day. I'm also so grateful to have met such an amazing group of volunteers. We stayed together and shared some of the best moments of my life.

It was such a nice experience to live in this big house with all of them amazing girls. The city is wonderful and the food from Kuni and his staff was amazing. Everyone was very kind and it's an easy job at the reception. And also you need to meet a lots of people. The only problems were that most of the time there was no wifi in the house and in some accommodation during the nightshift it was a little bit hard to sleep in. But all in all I really enjoyed it and I am really thankful for all of that. I can recommend to everyone.

I have had the best experience volunteering! The work was fair, the living arrangements were very nice and the food they cooked for us always delicious. But the most important part for me was the group that I've spent it with, I think I got very very lucky since it felt like one big happy family. Thank you Kuni for gifting me this amazing opportunity and to have such a wonderful first worldpacker experience!

What an awesome experience! Kuni and Ai-san are incredibly generous and work hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. Their food is absolutely amazing, and I looked forward to every meal. You will have plenty of free time to explore Kamakura and its surroundings between shifts or on your days off and I got super lucky with such an awesome group of fellow volunteers to enjoy this place with :) So grateful! Thank you Kuni!
