I had a really great time. The staff and other volunteers are fantastic and made my experience wonderful. The working conditions matched the description perfectly, and the managers were very kind, clear in their explanations, and respectful of our pace. The hostel is very welcoming and cozy, and it's located right in the center, making everything within walking distance.

The hostel has a great location, right in the city centre, and it’s easy to do everything on foot. The common areas are comfortable, and the staff and volunteers really made my experience better. The team is attentive and supportive, but they do expect the work to be done properly, which can feel demanding at first, though you improve with time. The only thing that could be improved is the staff room. Overall, I’m very grateful for the experience and I’ll never forget this family! 💙

I spent one month volunteering at Edinburgh backpackers hostel! The hostel is in the perfect central location, as well as being a great base to reach surrounding towns and cities on days off, which Sergio was really flexible with requesting specific days off in advance. The work could be a little tiring depending on the number of guests, but working together alongside other volunteers always made it enjoyable :) Despite staying in a dormitory of 17, the hostel quickly became a home away from home and there were always people to chat to and plan evening activities! Thank you for having me! :)

I had an amazing experience at the hostel !! The staff is really nice and welcoming, I met so many wonderful people. The dorm is a bit messy so it can be a scary at first but everyone is very respectful and I got used to it very quickly.

I had a wonderful time volunteering at EBH and would definitely recommend this experience! The working hours are fair and respected, and the managers are super nice and supportive. The hostel’s location is also perfect, right next to all the main attractions. I would have stayed longer if I could! Big thanks / merci / gracias to Sergio, Merche, Sarah, and all the amazing volunteers I met there 🫶🏼
