Our hostel is located right in the heart of Edinburgh's amazing world heritage listed Old Town. You couldn't be closer to all of Edinburgh must see attractions.

I had a very nice stay at Edinburgh Backpackers Hostel, it’s a perfect place for a first volunteer’s experience. The common areas are cozy and the staff room is very quiet so we don’t have to worry about getting some rest.
The work time and the days off are respected ; also the hostel is located in the center so very easy to visit the city.
I met so many lovely people here that made me feel like home, so I thank everyone for the good moments that will stay forever in my heart. Big up to Sergio, Merche and Sarah, managers that make u feel welcomed and supported. Thank you for everything guys

First and most importantly, my joy and respect for the coordinators who make this experience so bright: Merche, Sarah, and Sergio. You guys elevate, respect, and teach! The work is honest, straightforward, and pleasurable. Edinburgh is an enchanted place, and this big building in Cockburn Street where the hostel stands is the best place to be. Scotland is in my heart forever. Cheers, ;)

Amazing experience!
I stayed for 1 year and 3 months, and I’m incredibly grateful. From day one, the managers and the whole team made me feel like part of a family. I arrived without speaking English and I’m leaving with a great level of English, amazing friendships, and unforgettable memories.
The tasks were easy and well organised, working hours were always respected, and the location was unbeatable — literally in the city centre on Cockburn Street. I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone looking to grow, improve their English, and feel truly supported in Edinburgh.

I had a really great time. The staff and other volunteers are fantastic and made my experience wonderful. The working conditions matched the description perfectly, and the managers were very kind, clear in their explanations, and respectful of our pace. The hostel is very welcoming and cozy, and it's located right in the center, making everything within walking distance.

The hostel has a great location, right in the city centre, and it’s easy to do everything on foot. The common areas are comfortable, and the staff and volunteers really made my experience better. The team is attentive and supportive, but they do expect the work to be done properly, which can feel demanding at first, though you improve with time. The only thing that could be improved is the staff room. Overall, I’m very grateful for the experience and I’ll never forget this family! 💙
