Vine a La Comarca con la idea de quedarme 2 semanas, finalmente me quedé más de 1 mes. Desde el primer momento me sentí bienvenida y cómoda. Alex es un host muy humano y cercano. La Comarca es un espacio lleno de naturaleza, está a unos pasos del río Naranjo el cual disfrutamos mucho junto a un mate o un tereré. Algunos días íbamos a diferentes playas por lo que es perfecto para conocer la costa alrededor de Quepos. Las cabinas para los voluntarios son individuales y muy cómodas. El grupo humano que conocí estas semanas fue sin duda un espacio muy cómodo, un equipo y ahora amigos!

La comarca is the kind of place you don't want to leave! I had an amazing time there, the people were very nice and always made me feel welcome. The place is beautiful and peaceful, the work is not hard and you'll always have help. Alex is an amazing host, super fun and respectful. You'll get to connect with nature and people from around the world. It truly felt like a family, I definitely recommend it!!!

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y fue todo lo que esperaba. Alex es un host increíble y me sentí todo el tiempo parte del equipo. He aprendido mucho de la fauna de Costa Rica también. Definitivamente me llevo nuevos amigos para la vida. No duden en inscribirse en este proyecto, hay mucha buena vibra en la Comarca. :)

I would definitely recommend this experience. Alex and his friends were very welcoming and I really liked la Comarca. The work is pretty hard sometimes but it's not too much and there's plenty of time to rest.

I had an amazing time here! Alex is an amazing person and host. We received a list of tasks for the day and worked on them for a few hours in the morning. We cleaned the guests dome, made them breakfast, and helped out with other various tasks. There is a river that is so refreshing and we swam and floated in tubes everyday. Also expect to play a lot of fun card games including Durak in the afternoons and eat family-style meals together.

Alex is one of the funniest and most respectful guys I've met and I couldn't have had a better host for my first experience! The tasks are flexible and the working hours were respected. We'd wake up early in the morning and start our tasks, some of them were: prepare breakfast for the guests, bring rocks from the river, get bamboos, build things, clean the dome, keep the our place tidy, cut grass, etc. There is a lot of hardwork, if you are comfortable with it. Being at La Comarca felt like being with family. My favorite part was having all the meals together and learning to play durak :P

My experience in La Comarca was simply fantastic! I loved spending time with Alex and the other volunteers. In a short time, we became like family, which made the experience even more beautiful and motivating. The work is not heavy at all and is a lot of fun. You can come up with your ideas, but remember that if it's a good idea you have to find a way to develop it! Which is fun. Alex took care of providing us with everything we needed, was always available, and made us feel like we were really at home. I will miss La Comarca very much, I hope to come back soon. Thank you Alex :)

It's a very nice place to enjoy nature and calm your mind. The work can be sometimes challenging because of the hot weather but working hours can be really flexible! I really enjoyed my time here with Alex, Marc, Eric and the cutest dog Maggy! I recommend to stay longer than a week to see the results of your work. I stayed for one week with my girlfriend and thought it was stupid we couldn't finish what we started but afterall, really nice experience!

Está experiencia fué muy profunda para mí. Encontré un sitio que me dió libertat, tranquilidad, tiempo y proyectos que me motivaban. La Comarca, ha sido hasta ahora mi punto ápice del viaje. Alex, Maggi y Eric pasaron a ser mi día a día y me enganxé a la rutina en la comarca. El anfitrión sabe gestionar bién la rutina para que haya tiempo de trabajar, jugar, ir al río o la playa, comer bién y descansar. Nunca olvidaré mi experiencia en La Comarca, para mí, un sitio perfecto!
