WOW!! My cousin and I had such an amazing time here. Alex has done such an incredible job creating a community-like and welcoming environment. We all cook and eat together, work collaboratively and chill like a little family! The work is fulfilling every morning and the environment is gorgeous, with lush greenery, toucans and puppies!! We have made friends for life. I would say that the vibe began to shift as a few new rules were trialed but I know Alex will maintain this special community he has crafted. He truely is what makes the place! Highly recommend :)

What an amazing place filled with amazing people, my 3 weeks there has been some of the most memorable travels in recent times. The camp the lodge has everything you need, the unlimited food pantry, abundance of nature and a sense of community. The work itself isn't very difficult, there's always other unique tasks and jobs you can do if you prefer to try a side quest or two, Alex is extremely flexible and probably one of the most down to earth individuals you'll meet. He's a jack of all trades and Marco is the maestro in the kitchen. Honestly couldn't have picked a better volunteer opportunity.

I had an absolutely amazing time here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Alex and Marco fostered such a positive, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to connect with everyone. I met people from all over the world, learned so much along the way, and genuinely enjoyed every moment. This is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful, social, and unforgettable experience.

Volunteering here was amazing, from the very first time I felt super welcomed. Alex is a easygoing, flexible and approachable host. There's a beautiful river just 1 min walk that is part of the propriety! I enjoyed my time in La comarca thank you!! Pura vida πβ¨π€

La comarca is a home away from home. The second you arrive you're welcomed by Alex & Marco, 3 chickens, Bango (the neighbors dog) & abundance amounts of nature. From morning to night you have the opportunity to see Tuscans, Blue Morpho butterflies, iguanas and fireflies. Covered with luscious grass (which you will be cutting btw lol), palm trees, growing fruit & a river down the path⦠it's a nature wonderland. If you've ever seen Jurassic Park, picture that minus the dinosaurs lol. I loved every minute of my stay. As for the fellow volunteers, they're now my little travel family. Gracias xoxo

La Comarca was my first volunteer experience abroad and I couldn't have dreamed of anything better. I was amazing. Alex and Marco are very kind, flexible and do everything they can to make us feel comfortable and integrated to the group. I spent two exceptional weeks at La Comarca and I would recommend it without hesitation. The location is perfect : it's close to nature and peaceful but at the same time it allows you to discover many things. The atmosphere and the dynamic of La Comarca is what I loved the most as well as the people I met. I will never forget these two weeks of my life πππ

I had a great time at La Comarca! Alex is such an amazing host, and created such a fun environment to be in! He is also so hardworking, and I am so in awe of the work he has done to create La Comarca. It is a beautiful location with SO MUCH WILDLIFE! The river is awesome to swim in, and we went to the beach and the lodge National Park on days off :) there is also a cool waterfall you can hike to from the property!

Volunteering at La Comarca is a unique experience ! The welcome is very warm and you immediately feel part of a family. Alex and Marco are very attentive hosts, flexible and always full of good advice for visiting the surrounding area. The place is a little way out of Quepos, which is part of its charm, and there are always lots of activities to do with the other volunteers ! I highly recommend volunteering here !
