The Experience

Volunteers help with projects around the property. We plant and harvest in our gardens. We build and repair fences, green houses and growing areas. We maintain the property as needed. We work from 7 am until 11 am leaving time for our volunteers to enjoy the beach, the forest and the mountains. We are on the mountain side surrounded by forest with beautiful ocean views. The beach is only a 5 minute drive from the property.

Nuestra experiencia en la granja fue inolvidable. Ruth y Gene son súper amables y nos hicieron sentir como en familia. Las tareas fueron variadas y divertidas, siempre sumando aprendizajes. El lugar es precioso y cómodo; muchas naturaleza y paisajes increíbles. La comida casera y muy rica. Al estar alejado de lo turístico, nos adentramos en la cultura costarricense y los anfitriones nos llevaron a pasear y conocer lugares muy bonitos. Mi estancia con Gene y Ruth fue una experiencia verdaderamente inolvidable, desde el primer momento me hicieron sentir como parte de su familia.No solo aprendí mucho sobre agricultura orgánica y conecté profundamente con la cultura local, sino que también fueron los mejores guías: nos llevaron a conocer cascadas, ríos, ciudades cercanas e incluso salimos de pesca!
