We are looking for volunteers to help us in Matapalo, Costa Rica.

The experience

Volunteers help with projects around the property. We plant and harvest in our gardens. We build and repair fences, green houses and growing areas. We maintain the property as needed. We work from 7 am until 11 am leaving time for our volunteers to enjoy the beach, the forest and the mountains. We are on the mountain side surrounded by forest with beautiful ocean views. The beach is only a 5 minute drive from the property.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We are flexible with time schedules as long as the volunteers fulfill their weekly hours in exchange for meals and housing. Volunteers often work side by side with the owners and learn skills needed to operate a small farm. We provide a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom container house for the comfort of our volunteers to enjoy their experience with us.

Activities & Shift

We engage in a variety of activities that run and maintain the property. We seek to utilize our volunteers in their strongest skills while hoping to teach them new skills Along with working on the farm we invite our volunteers to help with website development, marketing and sales of our products and properties.

Rules

No smoking inside the house. No abusive language or activities are permitted. A love for nature is important to maximize your experience.
