The Experience

My name is Hapizin and I am 37 years old. I live in a little village in Lombok with my wife and two beautiful children. I work in an Islamic bording School and in my free time teach English to the local children. I would love volunteers to come and help me teach the children at the Islamic boarding school teaching them basic English and having conversations with the students to improve their confidence.

My time here has been life changing !! I got to live at the the school, so going to work was easy, I got to know the staff and students very well and felt very welcome here. The students are excited to learn and improve their English so it is enjoyable to teachh them! Hapizin looks after you very well! He drove me all around the area, and took me to his home for my meals. I felt very welcome and the 2 weeks flew by!

During the 14 days you spent here, we learned so many things, especially about how to teach English in a vocational high school. While you were here, we had an extraordinary experience. The students and teachers became even more enthusiastic about improving their English skills.

Worst experience on Worldpackers. Although the teachers and students were kind and welcoming, the host did not deliver what was promised. Right after picking me up, he kept asking me to pay him or buy him things. The room was okay but the bathroom was dirty and there was no hot water. 1 meal was provided not 3 as stated,a lady brought dinner only 4 times, which the host later tried to charge me for. There was barely any teaching; he mostly took me to places so people could take photos with me. The purpose is not teaching, just a guy trying to profit from foreigners, very disappointing.

Thank you for your review, as you know that all of my friends and my students at school were not like you , you were not friendly, when you were teaching always played phone did not pay attention to students actually you came here just for holiday but you didn't want to spend everything you always need sonething free without work or teaching and as long as you were here you teach only 4 times.
