The Experience
Los voluntarios colaboran 6 horas repartidas a los largo del día. Las tareas a desempeñar son de limpieza de habitaciones e instalaciones y a veces combinable con trabajos en exteriores, mantenimiento o servicio de comedor. Fuera del horario de trabajo se puede participar en las clases, oraciones y meditaciones organizadas por el centro. Hay dos días libres semanales para explorar el entorno o simplemente descansar en un ambiente muy tranquilo.

I loved my experience at the Buddhist temple. It is such a beautiful place with caring people. Also the food is amazing ! You have a chance to take time for yourself or hang out with other volunteers as you wish. The tasks were quite chill as we were many volunteers at the same time so we could divide the tasks between us all. So, all in all if you're looking for a safe place and want to learn more about Buddhism and living with a community, I highly recommend this experience.

I had a wonderful time at Kadampa Templo. I will definitely be back one day. The place is peaceful and beautiful and so are the people. Felt like 1 big family. Yurlen (volunteer coordinator) really took care of me :)

Spending a week volunteering at the Kadampa Meditation Centre in Málaga has been an incredibly enriching and heart-opening experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by a community of beautiful souls, each radiating kindness and a genuine spirit of connection. The tasks I was given were clear and doable, allowing me to be of service in a meaningful yet manageable way. Whether helping in the kitchen, assisting with cleaning, or supporting the center's daily flow, every contribution felt valued. There was a strong sense of teamwork and mindfulness in everything we did. 💛

I am writing this review as I am leaving the place, and I am absolutely filled with gratitude, precious lessons to keep in the future, and love. It was my first volunteering experience and at first I admit that it was quite challenging and I didn't have the best attitude towards it. However, I am incredibly happy that I stuck with it and trusted the process. This place is magical: from the sense of community you feel as you work and live with others, to the meditation functions, and just the happiness on everybody's faces. Highly recommended to anyone with open mind and heart!
