The Experience
We are looking for someone to do the housekeeping at our surf lodge in Praia das Macas, Sintra, for the off season - November to end of March. We operate as accommodation only during this time with a guest minimum stay of 7 nights. Therefore we need someone to prepare the guest rooms, meet guests on arrival and to keep the common shared spaces clean and tidy. In exchange for this we are offering free accommodation just 200m from the beach.

Probably the best volunteer experience I've had yet. It was truly a HOME away from home. Luis and Elliss are the kindest hosts and are so flexible, helpful, and just great humans to be around. The area is STUNNING, with beautiful beaches and a short drive from Sintra, Lisbon, and Ericeira. Luis and Kesh (his sister) are incredible surf instructors so if you want to learn to surf and actually improve, this is the place to be. The work hours were very flexible and the tasks super easy and you have plenty of free time. I met the most incredible people as well. will really miss this place 🫶🏼

We spend a beautiful time there. The family is very welcoming and they are super nice. We could take surf lessons and we enjoyed the peaceful environment. The tasks are easy, but require close attention to detail. Very enjoyable.
