The experience

We are looking for someone to do the housekeeping at our surf lodge in Praia das Macas, Sintra, for the off season - November to end of March. We operate as accommodation only during this time with a guest minimum stay of 7 nights. Therefore we need someone to prepare the guest rooms, meet guests on arrival and to keep the common shared spaces clean and tidy. In exchange for this we are offering free accommodation just 200m from the beach.

What you offer

16 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

The role is very relaxed, we need someone to do the room cleaning for guest arrivals, laundry and general housekeeping in the shared common spaces this winter season. We are just a small guest house and in the winter we only rent out 3 double rooms. We also have some maintenance jobs to do in the off season so there may also be some painting tasks to help with.

Activities & Shift

There will not be shifts, the daily activities are making sure the house is clean and tidy and the rest of the day is free time. On guest arrival days (which is not every day) the guest room will need to be prepared and you need to be at the lodge to welcome them when they arrive.

Rules

The only rules we have is to treat the accommodation respectfully, no smoking inside and to keep your private room and bathroom clean and tidy.
