The Experience

We are renovating our beautiful and old house which also works as a village cafe. We would need help with in general renovation like painting, woodwork, wall papering etc. You really can use your own creativity since we like the personal and somewhat artistic touch. The house is our mission to bring the village more alive and you are more than welcomed to enrich the village life.

My time with Jonna and Sami was wonderful! They have been super welcoming and nice with us!! About the work with the tents, it's a bit physical but easy especially if the weather it's in you favour otherwise can be a bit annoying. The work in the waffle van it's easy. It's really cool beacuse you move a lot around middle and south of Finland! The accommodation it's really great, a full house with big private room and sauna! One side maybe to improve its the planning of the food during the festivals, but once we talked about it it was way better in the last one!!

Jonna and Sami are lovely. We had the chance to spend midsummer with their family and it was a beautiful experience. As for the work, it's quite physical but that was expected. The waffle van isn't physical, just repetitive, but was fine. The only downside was the food, we only got one meal a day, and only on the days we worked. We talked about it and towards the end it was partially solved. Outside of work we didn't have much interaction, except for the day before we left, when they came to the house for tea, it would have been nice if those moments had happened more often.
