The Experience
We require volunteers interested in organic farming and traditional food practices to commit to a two-week immersive experience from November 4th to 25th, 2025. Participants will help with the olive harvest, which requires 13-15 days of labour. In return, we provide food, shared accommodation, and 5-6 days of cultural activities: guided tours, excursions and educational sessions of olive oil tasting. Help driving a van (manual) is appreciated.

What an experience it was staying with Tonio and his family. From the delicious food Rosanna prepared for us every day, to singing in the orchards while collecting olives, to exploring neighboring towns full of history and culture, to making lifelong connections with the other volunteers, there was nothing more I could have asked for from this opportunity. Being in the fields is hard work, but it so worth when you get to spend the evening with lovely people and food, making every day as memorable as the next. Grazie mille, Tonio e familiglia. Arrivederci!

Tonio was such an amazing host. Yes, the work is hard, but we really felt like a team. We shared so many special moments, and once the work was done, Tonio took us out to see as many different parts of the region. He was so passionate about teaching us as much as he could about the history and meaning of everything in and around Altamura. This is definitely not an experience for someone just looking for a room to stay in, but if you're looking to do meaningful work and connect with the culture around you, this is the spot for you. Thank you for everything, Tonio.

Estoy muy agradecida por haber tenido esta experiencia, fue increíble. Tonio es una persona muy cálida, amable y respetuosa. Las instalaciones son muy cómodas, limpias y ordenadas. La comida es deliciosa, cada día es un menú diferente y Rossana realiza cada plato con mucho amor. La colecta se realiza en los horarios estipulados por Tonio. El trabajo es físico pero agradable y se trabaja en equipo. Tuve la suerte de coincidir con personas muy encantadoras y practicar mi inglés.
