We had an amazing time at the guest house! Claire and Vincent are wonderful people—easy-going, friendly, and great to spend time with. It was a pleasure getting to know them during our stay. The tasks were simple, and the working hours were always respected. We also enjoyed exploring the area; there are many hiking options, and we even got a bit of snow and were able to go snowboarding. It felt great to be surrounded by nature again. We definitely recommend this experience to travellers who want to explore Japanese nature and meet new friends, and we're already looking forward to going back.

Volunteering at the guest house was an incredible experience! Claire and Vincent are super friendly and easy-going, and it was a pleasure to hang out with them in the evenings. The tasks were clear and simple, and our working hours were respected. There are plenty of hikes around the property, and when there's enough snow, snowboarding and sledding that anyone could want. We loved having the opportunity to be in nature after spending a couple of weeks in big cities. We would definitely go back and help out again!

It was great to expend 2 weeks in the Lodge at the end of November. The lodge is in a ski resort and the ski season hadn't started yet so the work load was not very high. Also the work was usually easy and well explained. You can always ask Vincent and Claire if you have any doubt or need assistance. They are great hosts and they will make you feel comfortable all the time. The Lodge is in a quiet area, you will enjoy It if you like that kind of quiet life or if you like outdoors activities. Also, you can use the bus to travel to Sapporo and Otaru in your free days. I highly recomend It.

I really enjoyed my stay here in Niseko. The space was so very sweet. I valued greatly the slowness. I came during the off season when not much was going on and it was perfect for me to take time to meditate, read and just enjoy watching the leaves change and the snow fall. The work is extremely fair and not too hard, in my personal experience you didn't even work the full 3 hours most days - but of course that will differ from time to time. The hosts, Vincent and Claire are very kind souls :) and I am grateful that they share this space with others. If you like alone time - this is great ⋆˚꩜

My experience can be divided into two parts: the end of summer and the beginning of autumn. At first, with fewer helpers and guests, I had more time for introspective activities and to connect with the locals. It was also a great moment to get to know the hosts better, who were wonderful throughout my stay. After that, the rooms filled up and we had many helpers, making every day lively and full of conversations and laughter. I made friends I hope to stay in touch with for a long time, and I cannot wait to return to Niseko next summer. See you in 2026!
