The experience

Spend April to November in the stunning mountains of Annupuri, Niseko. Join our small team and help with lodge upkeep, guest assistance, gardening, and light projects. In return, enjoy free accommodation, fresh local vegetables, and plenty of time to explore Hokkaido’s summer wonders — from hiking and cycling to kayaking and peaceful evenings in nature. A unique cultural and outdoor adventure awaits!

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

From April to November, join us in the beautiful mountains of Annupuri, Niseko. Our two cozy lodges are located right next to hiking trails and surrounded by lush Hokkaido nature. This help exchange is perfect for outdoor lovers who want to experience Japanese countryside life, meet travelers from around the world, and enjoy a slower pace in a stunning environment.

Activities & Shift

Gardening and light maintenance projects
Occasional other lodge-related tasks (wood cutting, diy projects...)
Keep the lodges clean and welcoming
Assist with guest check-in and communication
Help with simple meal preparation

Rules

This is a help exchange, not a paid position
22 hours of help per week, spread over 4 days
Minimum stay: 2 weeks
Free accommodation provided in the lodge
Fresh local vegetables included
Basic Japanese and a valid driver’s license for Japan are a plus but not required
