Everybody at the hotel was very welcoming. The tasks mainly were housekeeping duties and cleaning. The rooms were great and the view and nature amazing!

Out of the many volunteer positions I've done, my time at the hotel & the hotel was unfortunately the worst. The welcome from staff and management was poor, with little effort to engage. There was no clear work structure or guidance on hours, and no support with transport on days off. Food was mostly soup and frozen bread and never enough, though cereal, tea and coffee were available. The private en-suite room was the main positive (comfy, quiet and spacious). Robbie and Tony were great to work with. I left early due to the moody atmosphere. Overall, I can't recommend this experience.

Thank you for your review , its a shame you felt the need to lie about your departure , ie family emergency ,regarding lifts , I personally took you to Glasgow to catch your emergency flight home , and appreciate your lovely email thanking me so i am tad confused by the comments .

Taking a break from our backpacking trip to stay with Judith and the team was a great decision! We loved the property which was situated on a beautiful lake in a semi-remote part of Scotland. The hotel staff was very welcoming and patient as we learned the housekeeping duties. We also happened to stay around the same time as plenty other overlapping volunteers which made for amazing conversations and cultural exchange!

My experience volunteering at the hotel was very positive. Working hours were respected, meals were yummy, thanks to Mike for the delicious food. The hotel staff treated me very well, creating a welcoming environment. Special thanks to Gary for the support, and a huge thank you to the Sweetheart Dru, who was always kind and helpful. The location is remote, perfect for nature lovers. In winter, kayaking isn't possible due to cold water and shorter days. Overall, I highly recommend this experience.

This is a wonderful place with lovely people. I really felt the family-like atmosphere. During my stay, I helped in the kitchen, learned new recipes, and enjoyed being part of the daily operations. It is a rewarding experience, and I highly recommend the hotel and the hotel to anyone looking for a welcoming and hands-on volunteering opportunity.
