We had a really nice time volunteering at the shelter in Estepona. Working with the dogs was great. Besides cleaning, we spent lots of time with them and went on many long walks. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and took the time to show us everything. The working hours were also fine. The accommodation provided by Michael was comfortable and had everything we needed. Michael was a great host, took care of issues, provided plenty oranges and avocados, invited us to dinner once and showed us around. Overall, a very positive experience and highly recommended.

Volunteering at the shelter was an amazing experience. the shelter team is incredibly grateful for the help, and you really feel valued every day. The work mainly involves cleaning the cennels and walking the dogs. You often get very dirty, especially when it's raining, so you shouldn't mind that but it is extremely rewarding. :) Michael is a fantastic host, whenever there was a problem, I could always message him and he took care of it. The accommodation is cozy, and the free time in the afternoons allows you to relax or explore the area. I will really miss the dogs at the shelter and also Michael's dogs

I loved my time volunteering here, all the dogs at the shelter are so lovely, even though so many of them come from rough backgrounds. Spanish is the main language spoken at the the shelter but they did translate to English for me when they could! I felt like I was living in paradise - as the location is so beautiful, the house is great and the e-bikes are very useful. I 100% recommend this volunteering role to anyone who likes dogs, it was an amazing life changing experience and Michael was very accommodating.

If you love dogs and want to contribute to a greater good, this program is for you! the shelter is committed to improving the lives of all dogs that walk through their doors, and being a small part of this goal is an experience I will never forget. Each of the dogs and staff members alike brings a wonderful energy and warm welcome to us volunteers. The work itself is very organized and equally gratifying, as we help maintain a safe/clean space for the furry inhabitants and shower them with love in the process. I recommend a basic level of Spanish to best understand and communicate with everyone.

Such a great volunteer opportunity! the shelter is an amazing the the shelter, with staff and volunteers who really care about the dogs. The work isn't super easy, you are expected to work hard and get dirty for 4 hours a day, but it's so worth it to help the the shelter and spend time with the dogs! The dogs are all so sweet and loving too, and it's really rewarding to spend time with them and go on walks! The house is a short walk from the the shelter and a 20 minute electric bike ride from town (or a โ‚ฌ20 Uber)! There are three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and outdoor spaces! With a washer!
