The Experience

Hi potential volunteers, We are looking for a volunteer who is fluent in Chinese to teach for my daughter and her classmates. They are grade 6, learn Major Chinese Language at Secondary school. We run a small class at my house after school time (we rent a house 300m from school) so they can have some advanced lessons. The Chinese volunteers must have at least basic English conversation, because we are very beginner at Chinese.

This was the second place I've volunteered at during my travels and without a doubt, it's been my favourite so far. Anh was so helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the very beginning. She put real care into planning our days with the kids and always made sure we felt comfortable and involved. What made this experience truly special was Anh's effort to give us an authentic taste of Vietnamese culture, especially through the food, which was absolutely delicious! I learned so much, felt part of a wonderful community and left with unforgettable memories :)

My 2 week experience with Anh and her lovely family was a true highlight from not only my time in Vietnam, but the whole of my years travel. With my partner and some international volunteers we helped lead a summer camp of 19 children and were welcomed in like it was home. Anh gave us great assistance with ideas and materials, but let us lead the experience to allow the children to learn about other cultures. We did a host of activities such as: building rafts and bird nests, presentations on countries and technology, plus a whole host of fun mini games. 100% recommended and we miss them all

We had a great stay with Anh, helping around 18 children at the summer camp held at their lovely home. We had 3 local Vietnamese meals each day, a private room and a very peaceful stay in the countryside. Anh and her family are very friendly and welcoming to volunteers, we felt we had a very authentic experience and is a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. We also learnt so much! We really enjoyed our volunteering and if you enjoy working with children, it's an amazing experience to have! Thank you Anh

We had a great time volunteering with Anh at the summer camp, all hours and work was exactly as agreed upon between us. Anh has a lovely and welcoming home, which was a great environment for volunteers and for the kids. All our meals were homemade and allowed us to try a wide range of Vietnamese food. Anh was super helpful and flexible with anything we needed as well as with tasks and activities we wanted to host for the kids each day. It truly is a special experience in which we learnt so much about Vietnamese life, culture and history, and a great way to connect with the community.

From first signing up right until the end Anh and her family were the best hosts we could have ever asked for. Anh welcomed us into here home and made us feel comfortable. It was clear what she was trying to achieve, with both an enjoyable camp for the children (and staff) and an enriching experience for both. Alongside of this here children are the most well behaved and smartest children who we know will be very successful in life. Then there's little Cherry who is the cutest and most creative little girl i've ever met. I wish them all the best in the future and would highly recommend to all.
