The Experience

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to share the workload and rewards of life in our peculiar little corner of the world. Five cats, one rambunctious sheep, and an adorable chicken need lots of care. From feeding, cleaning, and dedicated playtimes, your help will make our lives run smoother. Work will be sunrise (5:30 or 6am) to 12pm on Monday to Thursday. Your contributions in our vegetable garden will help us live more with the land too.

We came here as a "travel couple" and could enjoy this incredible experience as our first volunteering with worldpackers and we were not disappointed. The volunteering at the home definitely exceeded our expectations and we'd love to come back!! Andrew and Addy are both such wonderful and kindhearted people and they made sure we could get the greatest taste of mexican culture. The morning routine was easy work and so much fun!! It was nice creating a bond with the animals. We enjoyed the time we could spend with Andrew and Addy and their whole bunch of animals - and we'll miss them lots!!!

It was an incredible experience volunteering at Andrew's and Addy's homefarm! Both are so welcoming people and we felt so appreciated by them. We learned a lot about veganism (and ate delicious food!), gardening & harvesting as well as the local Mexican culture. Collaborating with them was was such a joy and they always made sure we were comfortable doing what we were doing. We also shared some great laughters and had interesting conversations. The work was fair and as agreed. It was a pleasure meeting all the animals and creating a bond with them. If possible, we'd rate it higher than 5 ⭐

Addy and Andrew are two incredible people who I am eternally grateful to have met. They have created a fair, welcoming and knowledgeable environment fit for learning and growing. So if you are looking to learn more about gardening, baking, animal care (human and non-human) or just looking for thought provoking conversations the home is the place to be. The tasks are as described and even though I'm not the biggest morning person, this place changed that. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better worldpackers experience, thank you for everything. I will miss you all. Till we meet again.

I absolutely loved staying at the home. Addy and Andrew were both so kind, open and went out of their way to ensure I enjoyed Mina. They are both so knowledgable and were happy to share . I truly feel like I learnt so much by talking to them! I loved how willing they were to share their lives introducing me to friends and family. I feel like I made seven friends (cats, rams and chicken included). The work was fair and as agreed. Addy and Andrew constantly checked in to see how I finding the work and if I was happy with my shift pattern.
