The Experience

Hello! We’re Sam and Christina, and our little family lives in the Sicilian mountains with our 11-month-old daughter, Salina. We feel lucky to call our agriturismo home, where we grow what we can, care for our animals (two dogs, chickens, ducks, and sheep), and share our harvest with the lovely volunteers who come to help. We’re self-taught farmers, still learning every day, and we do our best to live simply, sustainably, and with an open heart.

I had a wonderful time with Sam and Christina! The farm is a beautiful spot in the mountains. The accommodation was comfortable, the work was very reasonable, we had fantastic lunches together and we were included in the family with baby Salina. I would recommend a stay to anybody. Thank you Sam and Christina! :)

I had a wonderful time here!! Christina and Sam are very welcoming and kind and the work is very fair. I was here for two weeks and I took care of the animals every morning, feeding and cleaning their pen and then did a couple other things. I helped harvest the rest of the summer garden, swept and weeded around the property, and then helped set up the winter garden. The accommodations were very comfy as well. It's a beautiful place in the mountains and is the perfect place to spend time outside and get your hands dirty :)

My stay with Christina and Sam was just one of the best experiences ever! Always amazing to see how complete strangers can be so kind and connect to you. Chores are simple, gratifying and were the perfect opportunity to slow down and listen to nature and my own thoughts. The views are breathtaking, the house we stayed at, tho still not renovated, was super comfy, and the dogs just touched my heart so deeply that I'll always miss them! The only downside is that we're super isolated, so exploring the surrounding isn't a thing except on the days off. And btw, Salina is the cutest baby ever!!!!

It was our first experience, and it couldn't have gone better. Sam and Christina are very welcoming and always respected our schedules. The chores were quite reasonable, and we always had help when we needed it. Baku is a lovely dog and often accompanied us with our chores, and he always wanted to jump in the pool with you. Being surrounded by mountains and nature gave us an incredible moment of peace, and it couldn't have been better. Thank you so much for this opportunity :)

My experience was great! Sam and Christina are very kind and welcoming! They are truly there to help with whatever you may need. The work is good and the hours are fair! Your daily tasks are watering the plants and taking care of the animals. And then there are other jobs that vary day to day. If you are looking to spend some time on a quiet farm in the mountains this is truly the perfect experience :)
