My experience at the hostel was amazing, I would definitely go back again! Working hours are respected, and the city is very beautiful and full of life. The room, although a bit small, feels cozy when well organized. I recommend going out to explore the city and other nearby places. The Irish people are always very welcoming and cheerful. I 100% recommend this experience!

My experience at the hostel and the related hostels has been great! The work is easy and varied, with enough time to enjoy Galway and the surrounding area. The volunteer manager, Aliasing, has always been very kind and flexible with the work schedule. Also, the other colleagues and volunteers have been really friendly. It felt quite like being at home. I adored my time at the hostel/Galway City Hostel. More than anywhere in the thirteen months I've been travelling I feel like I became part of the community in Galway, going to open mics and making local friends everywhere I went. All the staff and volunteers are lovely, and I was invited to different events and happenings in their lives. I hope to return one day!

My experience at the hostel was overall pretty good. I met many amazing people and formed friendships. Galway is a lovely city that I will truly miss. The volunteer work was easy, but not particularly enjoyable. One downside was that volunteers were often on different shifts, so we didn't get to work together as a group. This made it harder to spend time together. I also occasionally felt that the management didn't fully appreciate the effort we put in, which affected the overall experience.
