Daria made me feel very welcomed from the moment she picked me up from the train station. Tasks and hours were communicated clearly, and she was very accommodating with my off days to visit nearby cities. I had the chance to visit Bath and Oxford during my time there. It was lovely meeting Daria, her kids and cats. Much love to all!

Daria picked me up, provided cultural pamphlets to help me explore the city and a bike. Her efforts to include me in cultural activities with her or her son made it very enjoyable My regular duties encompassed weekly house cleaning, pet care, gardening, childcare, and preparing meals. While generally four hours, tasks sometimes exceeded this or were split, suggesting better mutual organization could optimize the schedule Flexible rest days were a plus However, caring for autistic teenagers was emotionally demanding, and Daria's stress could make her temperamental. Overall, my stay was positive

I had a great experience in Bristol. The city has many options for things to do and also easy access to cities like Bath and London (by bus or train). Daria helped me a lot to practice and improve my English, and she also showed me some traditions, cafes and parks, really including me in the family. Bodhi, the youngest son, always has a new story to tell and is very charismatic. I also fell in love with the cats the family has, and the dogs that passed through during my time there. Thank you for everything, Daria! ❤️

My profile & video call outlined the flexible role, & spacious attic in a residential neighbourhood with straightforward bus/train links to the city centre as well as other towns — she even walked there. Tasks like light cleaning & weeding were often left incomplete or half-hearted despite extra days off. Communication was in English & Spanish as she initiated, choosing Spanish over practicing English. Previous volunteers went above & beyond. Please see other reviews for an accurate picture! :)
