The experience

Join our vibrant Bristol (home of BANSKY!) home as a female volunteer to assist with household duties, pet care, and family support. You’ll stay in a spacious attic in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with straightforward bus & train links to the city centre and beyond—many volunteers even walk into town centre.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Pet Sitting: Taking care of and looking after pets.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 25 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

• Provide housekeeping: tidying living spaces, kitchen cleanup & meal-prep support, house cleaning some DYI & decor tasks according to ability
• Care for our pets: feeding, litter maintenance for 2 cats, bird plus occasional dog walks/feeding
• Assist with simple family routines as needed and keeping shared areas organized
• Help maintain our small garden: weeding, pot-plant watering, and light outdoor upkeep


Activities & Shift

Flexible, as-needed schedule: Tasks are assigned around family plans—mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends—and you’ll cover up to two days off per week (extra days off for travel by request).
• Morning & mealtimes: Help prep or tidy up some /meals and care for cats (feeding & litter).
• Midday support: Light house tidying and occasional weeding or pot-plant care some other house chores.
• Evenings & odd hours: Feed visiting dogs, handle any pet sittings, and cover household duties if I’m out.
• Pet requirement: Must be comfortable around dogs and eager to learn proper care.


Rules

• Female volunteers only
• One volunteer at a time; please don’t invite overnight guests without prior agreement
• Respect quiet hours (10 pm–7 am) and private family spaces
• Clean up after yourself and the pets immediately after tasks
• No smoking, parties, or subletting of your space
• Communicate schedule changes at least 24 hrs in advance
• Be proactive: if you finish an assigned task early, please ask what else needs doing
