The Experience

Experience off-grid living and work in nature. Demanding but satisfying. Healthy food and a comfortable cottage just for you. The work will, or could, include cutting, splitting and stacking wood, taking care of the chicken, removing stones from the fields, rebuilding dry stone walls, pruning olive or almond trees, planting trees, and other maintenance tasks and could involve using a hoe, a pickaxe, a shovel, a weed trimmer or other farm tools.

I'm so grateful for my time at Terra Alta :) Marc and Carlota are such wonderful people! From day one they made me feel at home. They were super clear about everything; mutual expectations, type of work, schedules, and all the important details. I learned so much about Cataluña, their traditions and way of life, and it made me really happy to be able to share a bit of my own culture with them too. I absolutely recommend this experience if you love nature, enjoy physical work, and are looking for a peaceful place to disconnect, reconnect with yourself, and learn more about sustainable farming.

Thank you so much for your very nice review Mariana. You have been one of the very top volunteers we have hosted and you will always be remembered. You have exceeded our expectations and this talks great about yourself and the education you have had from your parents. Congratulations and thank you!
