Farmstay help in our ECO Off-Grid rural Paradise 🌱


The experience

Experience off-grid living and work in nature. Demanding but satisfying. Healthy food and a comfortable cottage just for you.

The work will, or could, include cutting, splitting and stacking wood, taking care of the chicken, removing stones from the fields, rebuilding dry stone walls, pruning olive or almond trees, planting trees, and other maintenance tasks and could involve using a hoe, a pickaxe, a shovel, a weed trimmer or other farm tools.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Over 24 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We offer a generous selection of ingredients including:
Pasta, brown rice, legumes, potatoes, onions, garlic, vegetables, tomato sauce
Coffee, tea, bread, homemade jam, seasonal fruit
Our own extra virgin olive oil and oat milk
Bottled water
If you'd like anything specific, there are nearby supermarkets where you can shop on your own.


Activities & Shift

🌱 Tasks & Responsibilities
You’ll support us in various seasonal and maintenance tasks such as:
Cutting, splitting, and stacking firewood
Caring for our chickens
Removing stones from the fields
Rebuilding dry-stone walls
Pruning olive and almond trees
Planting trees and general land maintenance
Using tools such as a wheelbarrow, hoe, pickaxe, shovel, and more
🕘 Schedule
Work hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Shared meals:
Breakfast at 8:00 AM
Lunch at 2:30 PM
Dinners and weekend meals: Prepared by you in your own cottage with the food we provide


Rules

🚿 Showers & Utilities
Showers: A quick 30-second shower is allowed between 15:45 and 16:30, only on sunny days (to conserve water and solar energy)
Electricity: Use lights and devices sparingly. We’re 100% off-grid, and our solar battery capacity is limited

🏡 Accommodation & Living
You’ll have your own cozy cottage. A few important guidelines help us maintain harmony and sustainability:
Please bring your own waterproof work boots and clothing
We provide work gloves and indoor slippers
No working or street shoes/clothes inside the cottage
No smoking, alcohol, or drugs on the premises
Use only the special septic-safe toilet paper we provide. Toilet is flushed with a bucket of water (no electricity needed)
