The Experience
The Sentinel plants and maintains a beautiful garden from which our chef creates nutritious and delicious meals for our registered guests. We are actively seeking a gardener to help create the garden from seed planting to harvest. The successful volunteer will have previous experience and a love of all things gardening.

- Between 18 and 60 years old

My time at the Sentinel was amazing!! I felt so welcomed from day one, and it was such a beautiful place to get to live. Everyone I worked with was so supportive, and spent time helping me to get to know the local area- which was amazing! Janet was so considerate of my boundaries while working on site, making sure I was always involved in deciding my work hours. I felt valued and appreciated the whole time and I'm so grateful I got to work at the Sentinel 💓💓

This was the most magical experience I could have ever dreamed of. Shannon and Janet made me feel so welcome and are both wonderful human beings. Andrea the head chef is amazing! I throughly enjoyed my work at The Sentinel, which varired between grounds keeping and house keeping, we had a very comfortable room on the beautiful property. Everyone there made our experience so welcoming and special, I would recommend this stay to anyone. Thank you so much for having me!!

My partner and I were welcomed by everyone at The Sentinel who are all wonderful people. The property is in a beautiful part of the world and the work I was doing helped me learn about groundskeeping and I felt proud about the positive impact we made here. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to immerse themselves in the Canadian lifestyle.

This place is heaven on earth. It was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I've ever visited. Besides connecting with nature and focusing on self growth I met so many incredible nice people!!! The hosts and workers are such sweethearts! Everyone is super lovely and treats you like a family member. I always felt welcomed, safe and appreciated. It was my first volunteer work and I can recommen it to everyone! Definitely looking forward to visit it one day❤️

It's amazing here the property is absolutely beautiful and the staff are all super lovely. All the food is organic, and you get your own room (not many people can say they stayed at a the Center for 4+ weeks). There is a sauna/spa are that overlooks the Center surrounded by mountains that tower over you, its out of town and very peaceful. The work is fun and satisfying. It's very easy going here and I recommend everyone give it a shot.
