This was my first time using Worldpackers and I couldn't have asked for better. The tasks were very diverse going from cooking, to sewing, building things, and taking care of the animals which allowed me to learn tons while also keeping things interesting. It definitely felt good to slow down while also doing some hikes, swimming, going to the sauna, listening to live music, and even going out to the local vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Nathan was a very welcoming, fun, and flexible host who will definitely be missed. (Also can definitely recommend as a solo female traveler:)

I had a lovely time at the Quinta. Nathan is a kind, wonderful host and I had a lot of fun spending time with him. The hours are flexible and the tasks change day to day which keeps things interesting. The volunteer space is very cozy! I would also recommend this as a safe place for solo female travellers :) I was able to do weekend trips to Lisbon and Porto, as well as enjoying the town nearby. 10/10 experience, hope to come back again.

My time at the Quinta was amazing! We didn't have any guests staying beyond the first couple days so the time consisted of improvement projects for the Quinta. Time beyond that was so relaxing and fun. Nathan is a wonderful host and super flexible, kind and supportive. This was exactly the experience I needed for my first time doing Worldpackers. I learned lots about what it takes to run a farm, gained skills in building, jam making, etc and got to meet the locals in town. Paige and I even made weekend trips to Porto and Lisbon. I highly recommend and will miss my time here :)

Joining Nathan at the Quinta was the best decision I could have made. I was shown in so many ways it was exactly where I was meant to be, and you will be too. Not only is the space beautiful, unique, and comfortable to stay in, but I was alongside so many great people. Although I was at first worried about it being too secluded I loved getting to experience the small town vibe and had a great balance of nature, connection, and traveling into nearby cities. I really enjoyed everything I was able to help with from cooking, to gardening, to preparing rooms for guests, and taking care of animals.

I had a magical month at the farm! The work was varied and fulfilling, I loved spending time with the animals, in the garden and kitchen. Though the busiest man I've ever met, Nathan was always positive, supportive, and communicative. The local community is welcoming, and I formed a Friday tradition of visiting to local vegetarian bar/restaurant for live music. The countryside and nearby rivers are beautiful. This is a perfect place to volunteer if you're keen on slow, intentional living. Thank you Nathan for the opportunity and friendship. I'll be back!
