The Experience

We are looking for someone with a love of outdoors, and hopefully a bit of knowledge of gardening techniques (digging, weeding, sowing and planting) but help can be given. We also plan to finish building outdoor structures We do outdoor activities, and there is the opportunity for paid work both at those and at weddings. We are hosting a music festival on 8/9th August and will need help preparing. We have painting in the house and the barn.

I had an amazing experience with Hen and David! They're both fantastic cooks and super easy to get along with. We had a lot of fun playing board games at night, always full of laughs! The place is lovely and has such a peaceful, relaxing vibe that you won't miss a crowded and noisy city for a second, even though it's still close by. Overall, a great environment to be in. The host is a great, cozy, and bright house surrounded by nature. Hen & David are interesting and strong hosts who work alongside volunteers in varied but sometimes energy-demanding tasks (wood, planting, garden). I recommend for future WPs: 1. Before arrival, confirm the included meals, specifically for days off. 2. During your stay, ensure clear communication regarding working hours / expectations to prevent misunderstandings. I enjoyed board games after dinner, sunny terrace lunches, and sharing with lovely people 🥰 (Mike, Will, Meg, Edie) and joyful volunteers 169, 171, 172 Thank you!!

The host was a fantastic experience thanks to the family and their staff David is friendly, attentive and always very calm. Henrietta is excellent in the kitchen, smart and has a strong character that can sometimes seem rude, I just advise you to clarify any doubts to avoid misunderstandings Both are very energetic and always ready to spend a good afternoon playing board games And don't worry about the monotony of the job, there is always something different and fun to do every day, an ideal place to improve your English, everyone is willing to help if you prefer.
