The experience

We are looking for someone with a love of outdoors, and hopefully a bit of knowledge of gardening techniques (digging, weeding, sowing and planting) but help can be given. We also plan to finish building outdoor structures We do outdoor activities, and host events and weddings. We have painting in the house and the barn.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift

🌳 What You’ll Be Doing:
✔️ Gardening tasks – digging, weeding, sowing, and planting 🌱🌼 (help can be given!)
✔️ Woodland cleanup – clearing fallen trees after winter storms 🌲🪵
✔️ Outdoor furniture painting 🎨🪑
✔️ Building & maintenance – finishing outdoor shelters & composting toilets 🛠️
✔️ Helping with outdoor activities – school groups, event setups & more! 🎪🏕️
✔️ Weddings & events – assisting in preparations when needed 💍🎉

⏳ Work Schedule:
🕤 Start at 9:30 AM – includes coffee & lunch breaks (with us!) ☕🍽️
📅 5 days a week, 25 hours total but not necessarily evenly split
🌦️ Indoor & outdoor work – tasks depend on the weather!

Rules

Volunteers need to be flexible, like animals (we have dogs and cats), and be prepared to muck in when necessary. Time off must be discussed in advance. We are not near a bus stop so lifts need to be scheduled. We provide a couple of drinks in the evening. Help with food prep and cleaning and washing up is appreciated.
