I was going to stay 3 weeks but I ended up extending one more week. The volunteering job is easy and the local community is amazing it's a mix between locals and travellers and volunteers and I just had a blast!

I loved my time volunteering at the hotel! The hotel itself is super nice and perfectly located. Just few meters from the beach and some great spots for surfing. All the staff are great and care a lot about the volunteers, making you feel at home and included at any time. I'm more than thankful for everything! It was an amazing opportunity. The working hours were exactly as agreed and super fair. I had the best time surfing, skateboarding and spending my free time in and around Playa Gigante with lovely people I met there!

The experience at the hotel was very nice! The accommodation was way better than expected, A/C makes the difference! The free breakfast and use of surfboards as we wanted were a huge plus. The place is chill, the staff is very nice and wants you to feel comfortable. Maybe a tiny lack of communication and organization sometimes on the training and the expectations. But overall the experience was great and Playa Gigante is a beautiful place!! Thanks to the team for the opportunity 🫶🏼

The experience at the hotel was great! Super friendly staff, a couple of other volunteers and many places to hangout and relax in the hotel - including a pool and surfskate, breakfast included. Ah, and AC in the dorm! :) Although the hotel has seen it's better days and the fact that mostly there were just a few guests, you certainly learn about guest-relations, check-ins and can practice your Spanish skills. There is a chill vibe at the hotel and you will also have plenty of time to explore the village, surf or play beachvolleyball with people from other hostels.

I would like to thank everyone for their kindness, hospitality and trust. In Gigante is a beautiful hotel located in front of Gigante beach and just a few minutes from Playa Amarillo. The tasks are easy and there are many activities to do on your free day.
