I don't know that I could recommend this host. The host went on vacation the week I was there and so I ended up staying there with another volunteer and she changed my job at the last minute. Also the other volunteer woke me up almost every morning coming into my room (before 6am) to get things and so I didn't feel I had a private space. Maybe it could be better if the host was there but I let her know the dates a month ahead of time. I was wanting more of a family experience and so was a bit disappointed when it was just a business exchange.

La persona que se quedó en mi casa NO es otra voluntaria es mi amiga y también es colombiana. Lo que ella hizo en mi casa y afuera mientras yo no estaba fue exactamente lo mismo que yo haría. (Salir y compartir a veces solo cuando mi trabajo me lo permite).
El trabajo de mi descripción del perfil menciona cuidado de mi hija después de la escuela, mantener limpio el apto, a veces trabajo de oficina y/o cuidar a mi gata.
Cuando hicimos una llamada te expliqué que cuidarías a mi hija, pero como mi viaje se adelantó por fuerza mayor ya yo no necesitaba que cuides a mi hija porque no te conocía antes.
Por eso tu único trabajo en mi casa fue cuidar a mi gata dándole los medicamentos en la manana y en la tarde lo cual no tomaba más de dos horas de trabajo al día. el resto del día eras libre de hacer con tu tiempo lo que quisieras o salir a explorar como lo hiciste.
Esto te lo explique al enterarme que tenía que viajar y lo aceptaste. No sabía que había sido una experiencia tan mala para ti. Lo lamento mucho. Buen viaje.

La casa de Jean es un espacio seguro, tranquilo y muy lindo para estar. Su hija es preciosa, muy inteligente y muy amable, he disfrutado muchísimo mis días en Barranquilla gracias a su hospitalidad y buena energía!
